@Crucial roigard will not b at world cup
Far too early to say. Injuries happen. Fakatava is living proof of poorly timed broken-ness.
3 halfbacks and 5 genuine contenders IMO
Is the law variation about 9s not allowed past tunnel in play?

No that's a SR thing

@Tim I'll be surprised if foster drops Christie. Think Roigard is in a battle with Weber, probably come down to who doesn't fade.
Roigard is the bold choice, Webber has runs on the board in the black jersey
What advantage does Christie have over Weber?
Doesn't need lights to play at night?
Christie can't give anyone confidence that he can play calmly and make good decisions. On current form, if he goes ahead of Roigard, we're fucked.
My RWC nightmare is a knockout game with Aaron injured and the Blues halves starting.

I used to have a recurring nightmare about Donald lining up to kick the winning penalty goal in the RWC and hey! That actually worked out ok in RL - so you never know

@Kiwiwomble smith, fakatava,Christie, perenara,Webber,Cortez ratima (highly rated),and the next bolter and your guy who has some work to do

Smith
Christie
Weber
Fakatava
Someone (TJP)
Someone
Someone
RoigardI can't fill those other two spots. Going by EOYT with ABs and AB XV (plus injured) Roigard would sixth.
After Super I would say 4th or 5th depending on TJs for/opportunities.
Roigard outshining Fakatava at the moment (better ride though, I admit)Whatever the case it is pretty stupid to declare an absolute at this stage especially when your track record on absolute statements is so shocking.
Edit: I like the look of Ratima but he is well behind Roigard in performance and selection.

So he's seventh on a list that contains a mystery person? OK.

that makes sense to you?....you would put some hypothetical person that even you admit needs work...ahead of someone actually doing well, not even just making up the numbers, in super rugby....i no you can do better than that man
-
@Kiwiwomble I said about 8th could b 7th or less or even more just take a look around I no for a fact joe Schmidt has 9 which I haven't included who he rates very high and could or should or maybe a big bolter for abs and world cup time

I wouldn't say "well behind" but Roigard was chosen for the AB XV ahead of Ratima, so must be rated above him by the selectors.

But then both ended up with a similar opportunity.
My comment was more about current form. Roigard is the form NZ halfback and Ratima a bencher. -

I don't disagree with you, and I was the first to mention Roigard in the RWC bolters thread.
But if Roigard was on the bench behind Booth we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Why don't you just say the name of the 9? Funaki? Roe (when back from injury)? Who is it?
