@Tim I'll be surprised if foster drops Christie. Think Roigard is in a battle with Weber, probably come down to who doesn't fade.
Roigard is the bold choice, Webber has runs on the board in the black jersey
What advantage does Christie have over Weber?
Alphabetical?
I'd love for them to pull in a newbie (Roigard or Ratima) and then only take one of Weber or Christie (Weber is my choice presently)
Smith is #1 but hopefully he has.been keeping his powder dry with his lack of running, cos we need a 9 who is more than a pass or kick...
-
@taniwharugby other side of the coin...we have to put up with people giving us shit about poaching players....

Combinations will come into it as well.
If Weber and DMac form a good book then that could be a factor.
Roigard has an advantage of a combo with Ardie. -
@Stargazer the biggest problem he has i think is hunt is making him (the whole backline) look average, fakatava did look more smith like against the force though, fast to the breakdown, even tried a dummy and tested the defence in close which was good
-
@Kiwiwomble Mikaele-Tu'u returning (hopefully soon) might make a big difference, too.

@Crucial roigard will not b at world cup
Far too early to say. Injuries happen. Fakatava is living proof of poorly timed broken-ness.
3 halfbacks and 5 genuine contenders IMO
Is the law variation about 9s not allowed past tunnel in play?

Doesn't need lights to play at night?
Christie can't give anyone confidence that he can play calmly and make good decisions. On current form, if he goes ahead of Roigard, we're fucked.
My RWC nightmare is a knockout game with Aaron injured and the Blues halves starting.

I used to have a recurring nightmare about Donald lining up to kick the winning penalty goal in the RWC and hey! That actually worked out ok in RL - so you never know

@Kiwiwomble smith, fakatava,Christie, perenara,Webber,Cortez ratima (highly rated),and the next bolter and your guy who has some work to do

Smith
Christie
Weber
Fakatava
Someone (TJP)
Someone

RoigardI can't fill those other two spots. Going by EOYT with ABs and AB XV (plus injured) Roigard would sixth.
After Super I would say 4th or 5th depending on TJs for/opportunities.
Roigard outshining Fakatava at the moment (better ride though, I admit)Whatever the case it is pretty stupid to declare an absolute at this stage especially when your track record on absolute statements is so shocking.
Edit: I like the look of Ratima but he is well behind Roigard in performance and selection.
