Did anyone else waste their time watching The Breakdown crew rave about Fakatava's performance? It is amazing how so many people can say so little in so much time.
Jealousy will get you nowhere. How's the achilles?

To be fair,
He was fucking good for the blues

I thought that Parkinson was better than Dickson for the Highlanders. The latter still gives away some dumb penalties.
I'd pick IWL as the other lock myself.
Didn't IWL give away some dumb penalties too. Otherwise had a good gameq
According to this only 1 penalty (IWL)
But 13 tackles and 4 missed. Too many missed but otherwise Ok stats. Blackwell also was fine based on these stats. Unsure how accurate these stats are though

@Winger I can't take that team seriously when Sowakula and Laulala are chosen.
I wasn't going to post this team but at least they (or whoever did it) agree on many of the players discussed. But more love for the Chiefs and Blues and less for the Canes than the other teams that were posted. The sky sport twitter team seems to have disappeared that I though was good (except maybe at HB)
This one above

@Crucial Weber was head and shoulders the best halfback. Not sold on the centre.
Weber was the best of the week yes, Roigard and Christie weren’t too far behind, Fakatava was all over the place and Drummond, well he was forgettable as per usual.
Jorgensen and Toole were pretty awesome for the Tahs and Brumbies but Telea was the standout winger on week 1.
-
@Canes4life Weber was a key difference maker for the chiefs against a champion side. Roigard and Christie were good, but change them for someone else and their teams would still have run up big wins.

Yeah I get what you’re saying but it’s easy when you’re forwards are going forward even against the Crusaders. I thought Weber was fairly rusty in that first half tbh, but he was exceptional in the second. He’s made a strong start in his case to be one of the three halfbacks at the WC.
Having all those halfbacks playing well can only be a good thing.

@Canes4life yeah big struggle for Roigard and Christie with how their forward packs were just getting bitch slapped all over the park eh.

It’s all perspective aye which is why myself and others had Roigard up there as one of the top halfbacks of the week. He churned through a lot of work despite playing in the heat of Townsville, which is a lot harder than playing in Chch this time of year, plus if you want to play that game Roigard is the only one who doesn’t have an All Black outside him taking the pressure off.
Weber was rusty in the first half, had a solid second but he wasn’t that far ahead of Roigard and Christie like you say.
