Waratahs vs Brumbies

That's a pretty handy starting lineup for the Tahs - tho Gamble at 8 is interesting along with the 6-2 bench.
Brumbies starting XV are a little short on experience compared to previous years but they'll still have too much I think. Their bench is quality.
Was all lined up to go sit in a private box with the other Rugby Board types but death in the family made my attendance uncertain.

The Tahd team looks strong, surprised at the Brumbies bench, what is his logic there.
Ponies are looking for their new guys to step up I guess. That scrum isn't going backwards with Frost and Neville in the second row, so the new guy Schoupp will have solid support.
Lonergan is a good scrumhalf and is probably a good choice to pair with Debreczeni who will kick the Tahs back into their own half. Then you bring out Test pairing White and Lolesio to finish the game with more balance, or save it.
First 60 minutes will be the Brumbies playing territory/maul, then looking to razzle dazzle us to death.

In a couple of the NZ pre season games there were signs that the game was faster because of the law variations. Gamble at 8 & the 6/2 to keep the forwards fresh suggests the Tahs think it’s going to be quick

Good point. Coleman might be planning for a fast game to take the sting out of the Brumbies' big men.
Rumour has it the Tahs bulked up a bit to combat the physicality of the Kiwi teams, but when you look at the bench it is fairly lightweight - Sinclair is more a 6 than a lock at this level, while Langi Gleeson isn't a huge man either. Lot of pace tho between the 2 of them and Harris is no mug on the wheels.

What is with the white sneaker clown brigade in comms?

How on earth does a professional referee not penalise the loosehead for boring in there?
-
Nic Berry might want to speed up this game if he can't spot a loosehead boring in right in front of him.
