Six Nations 2023

@MiketheSnow Personally find the whole thing incredibly sad. I am old enough and rugby mad enough to always consider Wales along with South Africa as our best rivals, not necessarily in results etc, but in the countries love of the game. I always generally wherever I am if I having a beer or something, there a Saffa or Welshmen around, I can have a bloody good chat about rugby. Also best mate is Welshmen living in Aus too!!

The most telling thing about this whole debacle is Gatland is the only professional
He stated that in NZ this would be hammered out in 24 hrs
He then offered up a suggestion for both parties to get in a room and hammer it out in 48-72 hrs (Wales is slower on the uptake)
That takes us to Wednesday
Team is named on Thursday
No resolution, then Gatland will fulfill his professional obligation and pick the best available 23, even if that's the U20 players
There is NO way this match is not being played
And if that's a double negative, mine's a whiskey

It's certainly fucked his England aspirations. Off to France next season I'll wager.

How he's still in the mix beggars belief

Ireland to thrash ScotlandScotland at home will be a tough game. Hard to call
Pick England to beat France and Wales to put a fair few points on Italy (revenge and all that)

I genuinely think all three games are hard to call. Having said that, it’s the 6N and as we’ve seen, anyone can beat anyone. Except Italy can’t beat England.
Yet.
Edit: meant to say hard to call = Ireland thrashing Scotland and Wales ripping Italy a new one. I don’t think either will happen, but they could!
Am I making sense or should I lay off the red?

The 6N's has gone from strength to strength in the last 2-3 years in that regard. Even the games between the "weaker" sides are pretty competitive.
Edit: Depends on the quality of the Red....

It's questionable and I have now switched to coffee.
Now where's that cognac..?

Farrell has been dropped for Smith.

His height and weight stats are all over the place. I've seen him listed at 6'2", 6'3" and 6'4" and weight anywhere between 120kg and 145kg. Either way he's a farking unit. Plays second row currently - who'd be a line-out lifter eh?
