Watched Bad Batch S2 E3 last night and thought it was pretty good in introducing some old faces…

COVID finally made it into the KW household so spent quite a bit of time watching tv over the weekend...got around to Bad Batch...its fine....can take or leave, would like to know what theyre going for in a bigger sense, thought there was going to be more about Omega...why is she female?....or more about them trying to liberate clones...there is some but its very sporadic

The Omega question seems to be that we are expected to accept simply that she was an experiment and nothing more.
Where is seems to be heading is a slow realisation by the Batch that they need to stop just surviving and start actively doing good/fighting the Empire. How that ties in with the other canon and timeframes and where it ends up I have no clue. By the time of Andor and Rebels they don't seem to exist (or at least aren't mentioned).
I think the show is best to stay as a side series with no real connections to main storylines. It can introduce new places and characters and provide more depth but little more. -
I love Gungi…very glad to see he made it, wonder if any of the other padawans we met in clone wars made it

Actually read something interesting about all of that the other day and how Rian Johnson's intention around that whole piece was to show the 'greyness' of the whole good v bad thing much like Andor did. Everyone focused on Rose's little speech as 'wokeism' but didn't listen to the slicer's reply around how both sides contribute to arms dealing and the reality is those in the middle turn a blind eye or use situations to personal advantage. He them demonstrated that himself.
It was really lost in editing though/ went over heads/ delivered badly.
Take the basic plot of that movie and deliver it Andor style and it would be quite good. Trying to deliver it as an action film was the failing. -
@Crucial i definitely picked up on what they were trying to say, actually liked the idea that there are these companies out there selling to both sides...only really lost me when it was all for nothing...could have had the double cross (doubling down on the message there are people out there that will always sell to the highest bidder) ....but they still managed/had to do what they were trying to do...
They also started with the whole idea that anyone could be a jedi (broom boy)....which would have feed nicely into future movies with completely new characters....and then reys is a palpatine
whole thing is like Johnson was panning for gold....saw a glint...but then just tipped it out...and then proceed to smash himself in the face with the pan...and then Abrams walked up behind him and shot him
