1899 on Netflix
Started off quite well, but sorta stalled mid-season and meandered a bit, didnt quite hit the mark for me.

Has Taboo with Tom Hardy been discussed yet? Not going to scroll through, so…
An interesting premise and storyline and I’m always interested in stuff Tom Hardy is in and he doesn’t disappoint in this but it is a weird show. Full of mystic references/flashbacks. It’s quite disjointed and though I’m not finding it compelling, I am persevering.
Can anyone suggest if I should see it through?

If you can hear what's going on then I understand some people found it worth watching. I gave up early as it was a mumblefest.

@Catogrande It has been discussed before. I enjoyed it, and we are still waiting for S2 (due to start production late next year).

Yeah - all the mystic shit in the first couple of episodes was annoying. But that peters out... so yeah - definitely recommend sticking with it.

@Catogrande think I hit the same stumbling block, might pick it up again after seeing @Kruse has watched it. What could go wrong?

Good point, it’s not that I don’t trust his review, it’s just knowing that he willingly watches a lot of shit so we don’t have to.

@Kiwiwomble Pretty much a European cast in the show. Beatrice was my favourite character. The actress is Finnish-New Zealander.
Ok…episode 8 of season 2….Beatrice kicks arse!
Camellia is my fav though
and just like that, Warrior nun cancelled after 2 seasons despite impressive audience/critics reviews

I persevered and on the whole was worth it.

Does it have a proper ending on S2? Or does it have an annoying cliff hanger? And is it worth watching either way?

House of Dragons
Had its moments, but overall enjoyed it, although saw comments earlier re the change of actor, which I thought wasnt needed, especially when they did it, but didnt detract from it, set up nicely for S2.
Pennyworth
Still enjoy this show, really like Jack Bannon / Alfred Pennyworth, several of your lower level Batman-type villains showed up this season too.
-
Let The Right One In
Very good adaptation
Perfectly set up for Series 2
-
Colin From Accounts
Slow burn but enjoyable

I wanted to watch Pennyworth but in the UK it is on yet another streaming service (Lionsgate) and I'm already committed to Prime, Now and Netflix and it is beginning to give me the threepenny bits.

@Catogrande I signed up to lions gate on a free trial and ended up keeping it as it's pretty cheap
