I saw Viljoen at the NZ Schools games at St Paul's last month. I know he is a halfback, but he's smaller than I thought.
Yeah he looks very small, will be interested to see how he goes at NPC level.

Apparently, the Hurricanes are spending their last day at Rugby League Park today before they move out to the brand-new high-performance sports facility in Trentham.
The facility will also house the Wellington Phoenix and Baseball NZ.
An article from 2020 that details the move: https://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/wellington-top-stories/300074981/government-announces-30m-for-upper-hutt-sports-science-facility

First player I've spotted as a WTG player is Harry Godfrey

@Canes4life The article doesn't mention the Hurricanes, but it's reasonable to assume that this is where they're moving to. Interesting combination with high tech industries. The location will make it a bit harder for fans to go there and watch the guys train.

I've got a source who works in that facility that confirmed to me earlier this year that the Canes were shifting in soon. They would have been there earlier if it wasn't for COVID disruptions. Hopefully these facilities lead to better performance/results on the field for all teams involved.

Hopefully it will reduce the injury rates. That have been terrible in recent years for the canes. Wellington likewise except for this year. Made a huge difference

Haven't they got a full sized indoor field there? Looks big enough, so yeah not much chance at all

Here is a video from the Phoenix, these facilities look world class.

Canes will be unbeatable supermen next year.

Anyone know who the lad on the right is?

That can’t be good for the integrity of the competition.

No sign of James O’Reilly. Spotted Cooper Flanders, Jordie Vijoen and Siale Lauaki.
-
@Canes4life Yeah, I think the ginga I saw was James Blackwell, not O'Reilly. Glad Coops is there.
-
Anyone know who the bloke is behind Sione Halalilo on the post above?

Shame about O'Reilly. Team needs a good 4th Hooker. Good to see Sheck there
