I reckon No and No are the answers.

If he doesn’t drop himself or change everything about his T20 batting then respect gets lost for him

With all due respect to our Black Caps, who have been consistent semi finalists in a lot of tournaments over the last few years, and also King Kane, our T20 game is shit. So so shit. And boring.

I watched it an hour or two delayed tonight and I’m gutted I stayed up to do that with the performance I just saw.
If Allen gets out early we shut up shop, not for 1 or 2 over but for 6 or 8. Too late by then in a T20, as it piles too much pressure on the rest of the lineup.

Simple fact is we can’t afford to play both Conway and Kane in the top 3, they’re too similar in the way they like to take a thousand balls to settle into an innings. Hate to say it, but I’d take Conway every day of the week at the moment.

A homeless man's Martin Guptill. How long before he is consigned to the Colin Munro bin?

I reckon they will give him plenty of opportunities. I suspect the cupboard is very bare.

What is the deal with Chapman? I can't ever recall him making a big score as a black cap, I just don't rate him at all

Average of 25 striking at 140 for NZ so not too bad:
    https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/mark-chapman-438563/bowling-batting-stats

Only one minnow bashing innings in the 22 games hes played:

but no MOTM innings like Phillips has played yet which could be down to lack of opportunity.

I'd rather we give him more of a chance than let Williamson continue to bog down our batting.

he's been very good for Auckland for a while. Used to play internationals for Hong Kong, too

Might be an issue with opportunity. Might as well try him, we don't learn anything persisting with Kane
