By my count 4 missed conversions 1 missed penalty so 11 points left out there..
That's not how it works.

It is for conversions.

What is the rule when a maul splinters and they start a new maul with the players in front of the ball acting as a shield? This seemed to happen frequently where they would pivot, splinter and start a new maul.
I was going to ask as well. And it didn't look a thing of beauty.
If a maul is called, it stays a maul until one of four things happens:
1 The ball or ball-carrier leaves the maul.
2 The ball is on the ground.
3 The ball is on or over the goal line.
4 An infringement of some kindSo if I form a maul and all the defenders leave, it is still a maul even if I have team mates ahead of me, until one of the above happens.
You're not allowed to pull people out of the maul to create this situation if you're the attacking side.
EDIT: in the case where it splinters off, you'll hear the ref call "same maul!"
EDIT 2: where I'm still bound to someone of course. If the ball carrier becomes unbound from everyone, it is maul over per point 1 above.

Nah. It's still sliding doors. Different score = different mindset.

Thanks for that, credit to England then, they seem to have made it an art form and it was very effective.

Pretty odd England didn't take the 3 at the end and regroup. Arrogance eh...
Sarcasm?
They were basically mauling tries at will from the 22. Go for the win and don't risk bounce of the ball in 20 minutes of ET.
They made a really bad call on the throw and paid the price. The red card was almost irrelevant at that point.

Their lineout had been deteriorating, I guess maybe the lineout was the right option if they didn't go 2, but that hadn't worked for them in a loooong time.
Thier best bet was to play out for penalties imo.

Don’t think they had the fitness for extrA time.
Maybe, but only if they gave the ball back. They probably could've ground it out.

The fucking flip flopping about how NZ don't do this and should do that then doing a 180 2 minutes later was doing my head in.

Watching the BFs win the RWC with CF Sr and mum, and CF Jr. Pretty special
Was actually watching it with Mrs Dan, and I have to say to see her dance around the floor in tears at end has given me much joy. She's only a little thing to but when she leapt into my arms I suddenly remembered how old I was, just about knocked me over! Really good stuff I think!
You must give us an update at some point...

Either someone was playing very dangerously with fate, or NZR's art department are quick workers.
Or just maybe they premade two options?

I wonder if the English will vote for 20 minutes reds next time.
