2022 NH tour, not ABs

Kia Ora from the Stade de France. Incredible stadium. Incredible sound system. Free wifi. Here’s hoping for a good match.

@Stargazer Made it through until the ABs game but fell asleep near the end of that one so did not manage to do an all nighter like we used to do in the days before the invention of the video recorder. One of the sad things of having grown too old!

Did anyone watch the Munster-South Africa XV game?
And today’s vintage have matched that historic accomplishment by thumping a second-string South African side 28-14 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in front of a record crowd of 41,400.
It was cohesion vs power and cohesion won. The rain was coming in sideways so made it a scrappy affair. SA tried to bosh their way over but Munster were relatively comfortable holding them out.
Rassie is over in France but no doubt the video editor will be on all night.

I'm watching Netherlands v Canada, and am surprised by how much the Dutch have improved since the last time I watched them play.
The Canadians have far more professional players in their squad, but it's 13 all at half time (1 try each). The Dutch try was a beautiful team try.
Still expecting the Canadians to win this comfortably in the 2nd half, but I was expecting a massacre and I don't think that's going to happen.

Forgot to post the full-time score:
Netherlands 25 - 37 Canada
Early in the 2nd half, the Dutch right winger was sent to the bin for collapsing the maul. While he was in the bin, Canada scored two tries, and later in that half another one. The Dutch came back with two tries of their own in the 75th and 80th minute. Still surprised by this score. The Netherlands had 7 players on debut; Canada 2.
