So, who missed out on a spot?

    Jordan Lay from the Blues.

Josh Beehre and Danny Drake as locks.

Gibson and Garden-Bachop from the Hurricanes.

    TTT and Milo-Harris as halfbacks.

Tom Florence, Sititi, Ekuasi, Peita, Melvin as loose forwards.

    McKenzie as a 10 and 15.

Moses Leo and Denny Solomona as midfield/wings.

O'Reilly. Surprised Highlanders didn't pick him. Did very well starting for the Canes this year

Vereniki Tikoisolomone (Taranaki/Highlanders wing - he barely played for Landers if at all)

    He's definitely better than Apisai.

I'm waiting with my response until the MP squad has been named.

I understand several of these players already have overseas gigs lined up. Some already confirmed (see Exodus thread), some not yet (incl TTT rumour about MLR).

O'Reilly. Surprised Highlanders didn't pick him. Did very well starting for the Canes this year

Unless I confuse him with someone else, he's scheduled for surgery in November. I remember reading it somewhere, but can't find it.

@Daffy-Jaffy Yeah, I know. Just saw another list on instagram, so posted it. There are more players who already have a gig lined up.

Plenty of quality wings and loosies left over but not much depth at all elsewhere.
Surely Kapeli goes to MP to replace Stowers. Thought Gibson and McCurran would have been in demand.

Li actually scored some great tries when he was with us, we have nareki and koroi as those smaller kind of wings so im not sure we need more of the "same"...but he might have been better than some we have

Not sure whether anyone picked this up, but former Crusaders strength and conditioning coach Simon Thomas has been appointed as the Head of Performance at the Western Force.

By the way, this is their coaching group for 2023:

    Head Coach - Simon Cron
Forwards Coach - Jimmy Duffy (former Connacht assistant coach). He has replaced Paul Tito in that position.
    Backs Coach - ?
    Attack Coach - Mark Ozich
Defence Coach - Will Eggleston (from Toyota Verblitz, where he worked with Steve Hansen - and Simon Cron)
    Skills Coach - Dylan Parsons

What a waste. They should loan him to the Magpies for the NPC.

@Nepia Yeah, especially after that coaching let-down, this season. I hope he gets a SR coaching gig in NZ, after 2023.

@Winger I don't know. The duration of his appointment was never published. His and Ozich's appointments were announced two days apart, last year, and I therefore always assumed that they were signed for the same duration, but maybe not? They've done a bit of a clean-out of their coaching staff, but that doesn't have to mean that he was let go. Maybe just not re-appointed or he has something else line-up.
