Worst Thing You've Seen On a Sports Pitch

What a bunch of pussies the players were. Should have given that spectator a good shoeing rather than leave it to the Ref.

Who was the proper mental English lad who very deliberately bent that guys arm around a ruck?
Calum Clarke. Pure shithouse.

Colin Meads was responsible for more than his fair share of thuggery
He was a hard man enforcer who played on the edge in an era where that was common, but I wouldn't call him a thug who went out to maim people any more than I would Martin Johnson or Willie John. He'd happily punch someone's light out in a confrontation but deliberately kicking a player or eye-gouging was def. not his style.

I don’t recall this incident and it doesn’t sound like Deano, but he was a hard bastard so it is possible.
It was on Frank Bunce and there was nothing hard bastard about it. The UK press didn't remark on it all but then had a collective meltdown when something similar happened to Phil DeGraville on a tour later the same year (by Jamie Joseph IIRC). They even brought in the Chariots of Fire writer to write an inflammatory article about it - yep, he's as shit at sports writing as he is at scripting.
Didn't mean to imply that stamping on someone's head is a hard bastard thing to do, just that Deano was a tough nut and I wouldn't necessarily rule much out.
I still don't recall the incident but have seen it referred to many times. A shithouse thing to do.

I do like the story in at least one of his books about unloading his best punch on Keith Murdoch, who, completely un-phased, looks at him like "what was that?".
Meads, panicking, says "that was just a warning..."

Speaking of Meads, the Northern Transvaal bloke who kicked and broke Meads' arm in '70 and crowed about it was a serious grub.

Err ... you realise that was it your own post you were quoting?
Someone posted about Loe two or three posts earlier

Brial v Bunce. Shocking in that not one of about a dozen punches landed.
No mention of ear eating yet?
Quite funny to hear the commentators making light of it and even the ref looking like he doesn’t give a shit. These days we would have had endless TMO.

Admittedly I found this much more outrageous when I was pissed at about 3am watching it live……but still fucken careless and dangerous.

I can't recall the players but definitely saw it on the Fern. Was the Highlanders vs Stormers? and the Saffa grabbed the Lander round the neck and basically flipped him. Lander was stunned, then enraged and proceeded to kick the shit out of Saffa. Was incredibly dangerous.
It's interesting to note that the guy who sparked this thread (Roy Keane) now has a plumb TV gig. He deliberately mangled Haaland's leg and nobody gives a shit. Lucky he didn't write an offensive tweet.

Julian Savea dropping the ball in 2015 Super final.
Worst though was the Dixon try being awarded.
I remember the uproar of the crowd for both of those moments. Atleast the atmosphere was electric for that game despite the result.

It was Kyran Bracken whose ankle Jamie Joseph stomped on and broke, not De Glanville.

All English people look the same to me.
I actually think both of those incidents happened on that tour - but you appear to be correct, the Bracken one was the Joseph one, De Granville just seemed to be silly enough to be a back who got trapped in a ruck back in the days when rucking was allowed.

@Daffy-Jaffy and all the commentator says is the Kiwis have been incredibly unlucky with injuries
