Listened to a bit of SENZ Simthy talking to I Cristy Doran from Fox (think Monday?).
He seems convinced WR are going to back down and apologise. Just stated it as a fact.
Seems reflective of the Aussie sentiment.
I'm pretty sure WR is going to back the ref.
Will add to my enjoyment of the meltdown
I wouldn't put too much stock in what Christy Doran says - the guy is a hack.
Yeah. But suspect his opinion about how hard done by they are reflects the feeling in Aus.
Pretty much everyone I've spoken to
Seems that way eh. But a lot of that sentiment seems to be based on the coverage that they saw in Aus where the refs repeated warnings weren't able to be heard as compared to what we got in NZ.
Could be some yellow heat this weekend!

Don't worry, we control the refs.
Aus do well when they're angry and they niggle. It's primed for it.
Who did we appoint as ref this weekend anyway?
Looks like Andrew Brace has got the gig

Referee: Andrew Brace (IRFU)
Assistant Referee 1: Mathieu Raynal (FFR)
Assistant Referee 2: Pierre Brousset (FFR)
TMO: Ben Whitehouse (WRU)Just googled and realised he is another one of these refs that WR rate highly but is prone to controversial performances in big games.
Yippee. -
Interesting that the stand down period for a failed HIA is 7 days. So technically Havili is available for Saturday. Not sure about that as realistically someone with concussion symptoms should only be on light training duties during the week but I'll guess we'll find out.
Cane I think will play. I don't think it was a heavy knock and it's the same situation as with Sexton from the first to second test.
If both are deemed fit then we might see the only change being Savea into 8 and Reece (or RTS) onto the bench. Maybe Ofa for Newell.
I'd be happy with that. There was genuine periods of dominance in the first test, and if not for lapses in concentration it should have been a comfortable BP victory.

And a nice round of applause from the EP crowd 😇

That is so out of line with the NZR rugby guidelines. If you even complain of a headache two days after a possible concussion you are on a 21 day stand down with light training only happening toward the latter part of that.
Apparently test players grow stronger brains? -

@booboo I think every time the Wallaby's are awarded a kick the crowd should just count out the seconds until the kick and then cheer when it is taken.
You’re just mean bro, and I love it.
Would be bloody funny. Even just chants of 'hurry up' would be good.

Just give Foley a countdown from about 30 every time he has a penalty kick to touch

30? 20 is more than enough. 10 to make a point.

Yeah but he clearly feels he needs at least 30.....

Either s/he knows fuck all about rugby, or is doing a great job pretending to...

Apparently test players grow stronger brains? In theory, Test players have access to proper specialists who can assess effects on them. Amateurs get the extra low risk version with the longer stand down.
But, yeah.

They still get baselined and go to specialists for assessment. Maybe there are special specialists?
