Who was that young kid with (I think) South African origins that played in the loose for the Canes this year? Is he from Wellington? I haven't seen him this NPC.

Tyler Laubscher  plays for Manawatu,Injured out for the whole NPC I think.

@Stargazer Mitch hunt update? the guy guided them to 3 finals in a row😔

I haven't seen any recent updates about Mitch Hunt. It's a big worry if he's still not playing because of the concussion he suffered when playing for the Highlanders (I think it was that head clash with Kahui?). A really bad Friday the 13th (May).

Hunt was interviewed at HT in the SI 1st XV final. I wasn't listening close enough to know if he was asked about his return.

@Chris yeah he's a talent. The Canes have a wealth of young good loosies in and around the squad atm. Take your pick out of TK Howden, Devan Flanders, Caleb Delany, Tyler Laubscher, Brayden Iose, Peter Lakai, and there's also Cooper Flanders on the radar.

The painful thing is we keep persisting with guys like Prinsep and Kirifi who are too shit/small for Super Rugby.

That’s a talented bunch for sure.
Peter Laki I wonder is he gets picked up by another franchise for 2023.
I don’t see Room for him at the Canes next year with that group you mentioned.

@Chris I think they will sign him as he can play all three loose forward positions and at only 19 he looks like a unit. Prinsep and Kirifi can F off.

@Chris probably, Prinsep can’t even make the Canterbury loose forward trio ffs. Such a dud.

Still a dud and shouldn’t be a Super Rugby starter.

Might help explain why Canterbury have been going a bit better this season.

    Home game vs Wellington.

A good test of whether it's just a rebuilding season or a potential crisis.

We can't be losing this! 🙂

Ta$man unlucky to lose both starting locks within the first ten minutes, including their captain.
