RIP 2022

I'm guessing there's not a huge number of fashionistas on The Fern, but Issey Miyake has died at 84, 77 years after surviving the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
One of my girlfriends at uni used to wear Issey Miyake perfume - till this day I can still pick it out instantly when I smell it.
I had no idea he was a guy, just assumed it was a brand name.

For the past few days it was one of the most fuckedup under-the-radar celebrity stories in recent memory. She was smashed on alcohol and blasted her car into a strangers house, then was filmed raising like Lazarus on an ambulance gurney from a helicopter news camera directly above. She led an interesting life, to say the least.

I had an ex that did as well. Very distinctive!!
But yeah, I thought it was just a swanky brand too.

I knew the name Anne Heche - by association, but it seems she was famous for being (almost) famous or close to people that were famous. In reading her obits I don't think I have ever seen anything she 'starred' in.
Says a lot about our times I guess. Or me. Or both.

Yeah a look at her film list isn't particularly notable. I agree with your summation

Was going along nicely until Psycho
Then was consigned to bit parts
I enjoyed the remake

BBC tells me that's because she was a lesbo. How awful.

I don't know how legit it is, but a news piece quoted Heche as saying her relationship with Ellen damaged her career badly

I last watched her in The Brave. And who can forget this movie with Tem and Cliff.

RIP to an old school tough guy

Geez this one hits hard.
No idea she even had cancer. Very hot and did a couple of genuine bangers. Seemed a lovely person too.
RIP.
I always really liked this oneā¦..

Whoever wrote this piece obviously hated her though ... The Horses ... ????
"Best known for"...? A backup singer on the worstest song ever? She's far better than that
No ruspict

Just Aussies. Always have to make it about themselves. Back in the early 90s it was Shona Laing, Jenny Morris and Margaret Urlich
