@Kid-Chocolate no shit. No one ever saw that coming
Meanwhile, here in Canada where people are dropping like flies because Covid is different to the rest of the world, mask mandates most likely will be reinstated in the autumn and the 5th booster is not too far away with kids 0-5 now been approved of getting a vaccine that does precisely, dick.

It has been great for future govts who would prefer their populations not to critically think for themselves and just do as they are told π

I'm not reading back through the thread so apologies if this has been posted before but science has virtually finished on the virus origins. This article also contains links to published articles.
I had to laugh at this line about the size and popularity of the Huanan Market.
*And the papers show Huanan is hardly the perfect superspreader site that some suggest.
...........βItβs like going to Coles in Bendigo on a wet Wednesday afternoon. Itβs not a thriving mass of humanity,β says Holmes.*

This is actually insane given governments everywhere mandated the vaccine with the assurance that it is safe. Bit fucking late to be saying "actually we don't know"
The chickens are coming home to roost

That is one vid which does not support this practice being widespread, let alone being evidence of oppression of the masses. My question for this would be why is that parent standing there videoing his kid being treated like that.
Parent of the year material right there.

Sure it's only 1 video and who knows who actually filmed it. If the parent, then maybe they're not parent of the year, or maybe they're just at the end of their tether and this is the only way they know how to get coverage of the issue? Not really the point though, we cant accurately judge from here.
The point is more, that from what I can gather, mask mandates are still in place for 2-5 year olds at daycare in NYC, California, and several other states.
That seems to me to be pretty fucked up.
-
@voodoo Oh I totally agree that mask mandates for kids is ridiculous and tantamount to abuse but I also question the plethora of "facts" and "evidence" that we get bombarded with. Most of them are so sensationalist that they really water down any valid argument they may be promoting.
As an example but on a different topic I saw a thing online screaming about gas prices, stating that wholesale gas prices were 40% less in July than they were in April but still we have high retail prices and how it is all the big companies profiteering. The stat was factually correct but ignored that there was a huge spike in April and that prices in July were still 100% higher than they were in March. It's just Daily Mail type reporting and misleading bollocks.
Caveat: I may have got the months mixed up but the data was correct.
-
@Catogrande yeah, that's the world we live in! It's pretty easy to concoct an unproven stat and post it for all the interweb to see and believe.
I, of course, triangulate all my information, to ensure its of the most reputable quality, devoid of any embellishment and misinformation.
It's the Fern way.
