JB out-serious ankle injury. Don't know about BB but they said he is still sore so I imagine they won't risk him either.

Well he is Foster "family".

So both these statements on Newshub are utter bullshit?
Foster "I still think there's something special brewing, but we've got to keep showing it."
In a boost for Foster and the All Blacks, though, the pair of Beauden and Jordie Barrett have both been cleared of injury, and will remain in the frame to take the field at Ellis Park.
The first one is utter bollocks, unless you mean 'special' in the non PC way of referring to an idiot, so maybe the second is too?

I'm extrapolating from what I read from Foster via an online newspaper today but his comments may have been from yesterday. So maybe I'm wrong.
Edit: ok I looked online and it looks like the news is from Foster this morning so my sauce is old. But what I read: JB's ankle is under review--not cleared yet. -

predictions
Akira pays the price in the forwards. Coles goes from the bench. Otherwise unchanged
Barretts are out, and that is all the changes the coaches can stomach, so Jordan goes to 15 and Reece to the wing. Or BBarrett is fit and plays 15. Either way Mounga starts. Otherwise no changes.
press conference is blah blah do better.
Game plays out much the same.
For Frizell??? Fuck I hope not!

Perhaps part of the reason for Foster's essential dishonesty (self-delusion??) about where the team is at and where he is at is the fact that being fired carries a big pay-out for him. Resigning doesn't. He just can't level with anyone right now, because then the obvious question will be - why don't you quit. Going through to the bitter end serves him better.

I don't want to second guess but from his recent interviews, he still looks invested, proud even. Not sure it is just about a massive payout. Or maybe he is paid by an outside evil force to make the NZR look like idiots? If so, doing quite well...

I'd genuinely have believed him prior to the third Irish Test. I was expecting a response like the Dublin one after the historic loss. Now that statement is meaningless.

Seriously though, I think he genuinely seems to think he is on the right path, but I guess if all the players are giving good feedback to this effect, aside form the results, why wouldnt he?
Then he is MASSIVELY self-deluded.

OK so then who do you pick? If no one will make the step up...
Precisely my point.
The super final is the closest to test rugby we have.
And maybe it isn't close enough.

They are going to need more than a win. Only a solid well built win, not an under the cosh for 70 minutes and turn it on for 10 minutes type of win

Dunno, something similar to an 'aura'?
