Clutching at straws a bit perhaps but there's weaknesses in the SA backs.
I don't think either 10 is that great, nor are their wingers as good as ours.
Unfortunately, their tight 5 looks a whole lot better.https://uk.news.yahoo.com/rugby-championship-nick-mallett-t-073900917.html

@pakman I was looking for something outrageous in that article to disagree with but I have nothing
I don't know. I only scimmed it, but I reckon he is at least a couple of years late with some of his comments. Eg BBBR is world class, irreplaceable and will be sorely missed and our props are skilled at ball playing and cleaning out rucks etc.

He says we won't win and now you even take his few compliments away, thanks very much Mr Gilbert Enoka!

The Springboks rush defense needs to improve a lot. Wales backs beat us to easy. The bom squad was the difference in the final test. That 6/2 split is always a worry. Against the All Blacks this will be vital. Kitshoff, Marx, Sous, Kwagga always bring a huge step up.

If I recall correctly ... which is a long shot ... in the last two tests against them:
- We won
- We lost to a penalty after the siren
We're completely fucked.

I am in no way torn at all, I want us to smash 7 shades of shit out of SA.
Agree. But I acknowledge we won’t.
We won’t even get close.
Agreed. This has 2009 written all over it. This AB team is much worse than that AB team, so could get even uglier.

G'day @BartMan,
This time last year we thought all they had to offer was a kicking game and we thought we'd smash seven shades of shit out of them.
As it turned out, they had quite a bit more to use and we shared two close games (1-1), with our current coaching group.
Home advantage will help them a bit, but I'm with Pakman. I reckon we've got a good chance of winning at least one.
If this happens, it will be after a convincing loss in the first test, a raft of Bokke changes for the second test, and us finding our arsey counter attacking mojo to feed off their reserves' mistakes

I wonder if 2 weeks-ish are going to be enough time for the All Blacks to turn their forwards into a cohesive unit of destruction and mayhem.
We'll see how good Mr Ryan is, everything he's touched has turned to trophies so far in his career.
Fingers crossed, but that would mean Foster stays, it's a double edged sword. Failure and Fozzy goes, which is good, success and he stays, which delays the inevitable continued decline.

Select tight five of Bower/Taylor/Nepo/Scooter/Big Sam; and
-
Dust off Saders play book.
Would expect a much more cohesive tight performance!

Except that Taylor is playing like shit.

@pakman He is now coaching the ABs. Not Canterbury. He needs to leave his bias at the door and work with the best in the country first (I know debatable). And as Kirwan says Taylor should not be starting anyway.
Remember the Chiefs forwards did pretty well against the Crusaders except for lapses in composure. The ABs would not be served well by a Canterbury starting tight five. It’s a step up from Super Rugby.
