Am I right in saying that the Allblacks are playing Scotland in Murrayfield on November 13th and on the same day they are sending an Allblacks XV to London to play the Barbarians coached by Razor and O'Gara.....
Fucking clusterfuck if true.
Why?
-
What could easily happen.
Whitelock captain, Schmidt takes a more active role in coaching, we do reasonable against SA. We continue to muddle along...
We don't need a spring clean, we need a complete rebuild, foundations, the lot. -
I'm currently watching the latest episide of The Brokenwood Mysteries. A bloke is found dead and they find a ticket for an All Blacks match in his pocket. They decide it's a murder and not a mugging as the All Blacks ticket would have been taken if it was the latter.
Bloody amateurs haven't factored in Foster...

Reason is the stopped clock of rugby journalism. By default he will be right once every 24 times. However even when he is right, his style is really quite spiteful.
And he is a fluffybunny.
I agree with a lot of what he says. Far in excess of 1 in 24. More like 3 in 4.
I guess Dan has no respect for me. Oh how will I go on.
Where did I say that Major, you really making up stuff, I didn't say you couldn't or shouldn't read them, just saying if you quote his write up to back something, I think it lessens the quality of argument.
I didn't think you were the type to twist a pretty innocent statement so much,, but that's ok.It’s a play on words.
Since Trump, the world has been obsessed more on who is saying it as opposed to what is being said.
I dislike it. As a good point is a good point, regardless of who says it. And I’ll happily quote Reason if I agree with him or disagree with him.
No problem with you reading Reason, as I said I chose not to and he's not someone I personally don't respect enough to think any argument of his would sway my opinion. I don't judge you or did I even indicate this statement made by you because of it. "I guess Dan has no respect for me. Oh how will I go on" is anyway valid,
That's not a play on words, it's completely outside of what I said and you know it.
But I repeat if that make you feel better, that's ok.Sigh. You said you have slightly lower opinion of those who quote him etc … so I say you have no respect for me …. Which implies you (like others) have such little respect for me to start with …..
Anyway, point stands. Message more important than the messenger.
Well if it comes across as that apologies, was never intended too, it was about Reason not his readers.
And understand what you say about message etc. -

Since Mark Robinson has taken over, NZR in its entirety has lurched from one shitstorm to another. He has a reverse Midas touch. Everything he goes near turns to shit.
Robinson needs to go. Foster needs to go. The assistants need to go.
I think only the third will happen today.

@dogmeat Very similar to my experience with the Walrus when he and a few other UK scribes were sitting at the table next to us at a pub before the Wales-Fiji game in 2011. We were all watching the NZ-Canada game on the big screen and I could clearly hear their comments.
Well come on man, don't leave us hanging!
Just plenty of condescending comments about the ABs and SH rugby. My confirmation the Walrus was a piston wristed gibbon was confirmed when I noticed he was drinking white wine.

Way, way over the top comment....but bloody funny.

Stuff understands MacDonald will take charge of the All Blacks XV tour later this year, when those who miss out on All Blacks selection will be given the chance to impress in the northern hemisphere.
Ah the buck stops below me Robertson and Foster show
-
@Tim the concerning thing about that article, is there is very little mention of McLeod, only that he is the defence coach.
where as:
The All Blacks assistant coaches are John Plumtree (forwards) Greg Feek (scrum), Brad Mooar (attack) and Scott McLeod (defence).
It is understood that Plumtree and Feek did not review favourably following the end-of-year tour in 2021, and players have again been consulted following the 2-1 home series defeat to Ireland.
Mooar’s work with the attack has also been questioned.

Considering the ABs score against records have been tumbling left, right, and centre is pretty weird

Rearrange-the-assistants and ditch the captain of the ABs -
definition
(idiomatic) To do something pointless or insignificant that will soon be overtaken by events, or that contributes nothing to the solution of a current problem. -

If they sacrifice Cane and a couple of assistants it will be a joke. Cane is not the problem here. He's a warrior. You know what you get with him and he's delivering it - massive work ethic, strong metnal attitude, but limited game style. He's awesome, buta poor fit to the loose trio for reasons we've traversed many times.
Whitelock is a dead set legend, but an aging 33 year old who's part of a tight 5 that gets regularly dominated at the top level. He's smart, but picking him probably puts Retallick's head on the block. Honestly, it's nuts. There are no good options any more.
The curtain of silence has been ridiculous. Some of the most critical times in recent AB history and the Kremlin respond by going quiet and pulling Foster from public view. It's treating the public with derision.

I predicted that Foster would not resign, and he knew that he can't change very many players. But something needs to be done --for the look of it.
I predicted it would be the junior players that sucked the kumara. I was wrong, it was junior coaches and captain, but it's pretty much the same play.
Someone had to go. And once it wasn't Foster, it was always going to be a joke.

I am equally concerned that Mooar hasn't been criticised by the players, as reading between the lines, he reviewed well.
And main part of review was done through senior players, this si what will be happening now.

They had a review post-EOYT and no one could say that the attack was functioning well then either!
