Yeah the most pathetic shit 'metal health' my arse. Don't join up if you can't take the pressure
metal health a typo or a reference to tin?
I loved this:
Not on Malcolm’s watch. Foster and Cane are going nowhere. On this point she seems adamant, and that conviction may yet keep the coach in his job. **He’s not important enough** to be told that his own press conference is shitcanned, but then again, what man really understands what’s good for him?
A dig at Malcolm by being a dig at Foster ("He’s not important enough")and some sly girlsplaining "what man really understands what’s good for him?"
PS Stewart Mitchell played U21 in 1973, (so maybe around 70), really does have a LinkedIn profile and it really is a bit vague.

What an utter trainwreck:
*"The decision to reappoint Foster's assistant coaches, two of whom reviewed poorly after successive defeats to finish last year's northern tour, and add additional resource in the form of skills consultant Andrew Strawbridge now also weighs heavily with a complete coaching change thought to come with a payout in excess of $2 million."

They played well because they benefitted from an actual game plan. Look at the Irish move we were debating last week where Aki got the ball just outside the dummy runners shoulder and was immediately put into acres of space. Can you imagine Rieko receiving ball like that on a regular basis? He'd carve teams to shreds.
No, but I can imagine Ma'a & Conrad having a word to each other along the lines of "that was a cool move, let's do x to stop it happening again. And I'll have a word with Beaden to throw the next pass outside my shoulder when they next drift in and I'll put you in space"
There's a lack on on-field thinking, do you think?

The Irish were lucky to win the series… they were lucky we were red carded in the second test…they were lucky Ardie didnt play for 50 minutes… they were lucky they weren’t red carded for exactly the same head butting offence in the third test….ahhhhh the luck of the Irish…. Foster is just unlucky…. Does this warrant him being sacked and the AB as woeful? No.

I find that media statement ridiculous. I don’t think anyone is out to shred foster the man to shreds. But claiming mental health is BS. That would be yet another reason to stand down and seek help (councillor, psychotherapist etc).

@voodoo yep. They are the Storm, Collingwood, Celtics, Liverpool - can’t stand them. My old man taught me from a young age that the Boks were dirty, cheating, gold watch giving, neanderthals 😉
Love Sth Africa and the people are kind and very hospitable, but their rugby team - there is no love, nope, nada, zilch.
Exactly how I was raised. Kiwis are awesome but the ABs are are the Aliens in Space Jam, the Wardens in the Longest Yard, the Ring Wraiths, T2000 and the Golden Horde.
But that’s why I’d rather lose to you than those other pretenders, filler villains the lot of em. They think they’re the Joker but they’re really just the 80s cartoon Riddler. It’s just embarrassing when our inner demons let them get a temporary upper hand.
Sort your shit out. The forces of light, truth and Justice need a worthy nemesis.

You obviously haven't been reading the Fern or social media....
I think they erred on the side of caution and actually did the right thing, even though it looks a bit OTT. Though Foster seemed OK with the idea of a presser, though we don't know about Cane. NZR were putting their employees first when they were under pressure and that's no bad thing.
(Cue umpteen posts arguing Foster isn't an employee, but is a contractor...)

I disagree. The could have given journalists a code of contact with an emphasis that no personal attacks would be tolerated. But there are hard Qs to be asked...Ian, in the first test the ABs tried out wide passes from Aaron Smith. In the 2nd test, Ireland adjusted and this tactic was utterly nullified. Why didn't you adjust again for the 3rd test? Or, the ABs put up a lot of non-contestable midfield bombs in good attacking positions, which gave away hard-earned possession for no gain. Could you explain the reasoning behind this approach?
Is this type of Q "being mean" or "character assassination"??

Nah. You don't take the risk if you are concerned about your people. You err on the side of caution. It's a game of rugby FFS, not a life-changing event.

Worse than anything you get in the UK - and that's saying something.
