    Two questions:

    1. why didn't the AB's take the three towards the end? This is test match rugby not super rugby!

    2. would Aki be AB's 12 now if he had stayed in NZ?

    1. Attempt to heap pressure on Ireland
    2. Probably not. I had a gripe that we don’t invest long term in guys like him but we can’t. Money talks.

I turned the TV off. For those still watching - can anyone tell me if Foster has done the decent thing and resigned yet?

    Not interviewed yet.

First question at the press conference is surely

"Just a question around timing. Will you resign now or are you going to give it a few days and resign next week".

He has to go. The only decent thing he can do. If Foster stays we are in for a more very bad few years.

    Yup

Ireland tonight reminded me of a team I used to know.

    Stoked for them

    Completely destroyed us

Reiko Ionie is a poke centre.

    Is poke good or bad?

No, he can keep the title. Just don't let him near the team.

Well done to Ireland. I actually don't think they are an amazing team, but they do the basics really really well.

Cane being subbed at 65 mins (as Fitzy just said on tv) is not a good look.

Foster has fucked up his outhalves. fucked up his centres. fucked up the back row.

Lastly. The referring inconsistencies from week to week are fucking embarrassing. Ireland had 2 red cards today by current standards. I don't think they are reds personally but if the offences were committed by black shirts there would be gifs, Alastair Campbell presentations, tweets and screams of thuggery. On the UK sky sports they didn't even show a replay of the incidents post match. The whole fucking game hinged on them, The second test hinged on them.

Him resigning means he admits he's wrong, him being said NZR amid they were wrong. Neither will happen until we are in s much worse place

He's proud of how we came back in the 2nd half, and there were some nice signs there. Good stuff. Can't wait to see if we can topple the mighty Argentina this year.

There's no way he'll resign. The man has zero insight. He's an embodiment of the TSF slogan. He's almost as thick as the NZRU administrators who hired him.

So they select Karl T and give him 10 minutes. What was the point behind that selection?????

And while I thought Ireland had a good chance of winning, never did I suspect they would get over 30 points. We leak like a sieve.

    Razor will sort that out.

Changing culture doesn't come from the top - it has to come from the players themselves.

It does when they are dropped.

Just dropping players won't improve the culture - unless you want one of fear which never works.

You are massively underestimating the influence the coach has on the culture. A new leader in any organisation can have a huge effect on employees with the right leadership. It's just abundantly clear Foster doesn't foster a culture of excellence (sorry had to with the pun)

Not really. He can lead and identify the change needed, but that will only work if the players are on board so the culture change comes from the bottom up.

Threatening players with being dropped if they don't conform (which @Frank suggested) almost always has the opposite effect.

We had the same problems since the end of Hansen’s tenure. We are not winning rucks, collisions, like we used too, we kick the ball away like we do, and we have players whose error rate for test rugby is too high.

I didn’t expect him to , probably feels some kind of loyalty to the players in a survival instinct kind of way , ,I think he will have to be tapped on the shoulder

Hardout, we used to do what Ireland did to us. We'd be the better team overall and would weather the storm (e.g. our 3rd quarter) then would pull away and win comfortably.

Well something needs to change drastically.

The same pattern over and over again. Get a good win and see progress, play completely crap and lose badly. Then in the 3rd Test reverse the order for the 1st & second halves and lose again.

It's the complete lack of acknowledgement that serious changes are needed, from NZR down to the water-carriers, I find so infuriating

I'd argue that started during Hansen's reign. I'd also argue that Foster isn't the man to fix it.

One thing that has really frustrated me is when people say that a particularly coach hasn't got international experience.
Great coaches are just great. People follow.

We need detailed planning and organization. Our players are ok
