@Duluth probably have questions vetted prior, I mean did anyone mention Ireland have never won a series in NZ, I mean some only found out they'd never won here before, so ideally they shouldn't need the obvious pointing out, but...
Really. Didn't know that.
Shucks, I thought it was all about the jersey and the mana. -

If we lose this game, if we lose this series, I can't see how Foster can continue as AB coach. He will have zero credibility with the players and fans. His job is on the line this weekend.
NZR have been very quiet, haven't they?
Maybe his KPI just says "announce learnings postmatch". -

@Dan54 Big Grace fan (as you can see from previous posts) and I think Sotutu and Grace should be in the ABs as specialist No.8s competing for the position against each other. But you'd think Sotutu would get a go first and foremost if they were taking this line of thought? His SR form was great (he had a big improvement in physicality), his No.8 skills off the back of the scrum are exceptional... and yet he hasn't been sighted.
Yep and Grace didn't really come on until end of season, so Sotutu got the jump. Think perhaps also PGS also had a big impact earlier in Super than Grace. Regardless I really think at this stage Ardie is just about our best player and he is (whether some like it or not) 8 too. I was on Grace bandwagon big time a couple of years back, and he seemed to of not really come on until second late in super rugby, and think somehow that Super final may just be his breakout performance that will set him up, though I suspect could be after WC that he really cements spot.
I reckon there might have been a few changes if Fozzie had named his squad after the Super Rugby final. Grace might have pushed PGS and Fozzie might have looked again at the Crusaders tighthead props. Those are places I'd be looking at for the next squad.

@Kruse I just jumped on lassenpickandgo as he had a calculator on there which you could chuck results in.and would tell you but looks like that site is another victim of Covid, not been updated since 2020.

That’s the one I looked at. Easier to use than Lassen. You just have to use a NH calendar

Pretty predictable team.
I wonder if Jack Goodhue isn't fully fit or whether Fozzie's just preferred Havili - who from what I've seen is a better kicking option than Jack.
Will Jordan in for Big Leicester improves that aspect as well. (FLASH AH, AHHHH....)!!!
As with others, ST and RTS (non) selections are pretty surprising. Otherwise it's pretty predictable. Sotutu not getting a run is a bit unfortunate, but I can see why they want Ardie on the field.
Even as a Mo'unga fan, I wonder whether they should have given Perofeta his spot on the bench. I don't really hold with the idea of tactically substituting your first five and Perofeta sufficiently covers first five in case of injury.

Our forwards have been problematic for three years. Plumtree has never coached a dominant forward pack. How he leads the AB's in this area is bemusing. Our loose trio has been out of balance and will continue to be until we pick a genuine number 8. Ardie is not an 8 and goes missing in his core role. We need an 8 that can get us over the gain-line from static ball & shift bodies at the breakdown. Barrett at 6 and Cane at 7 is a requirement when you have an 8 like Ardie. Pick him at 7 if we think he is the best openside (I personally don't think he is) but let's get an 8 that can perform the core role required.

Havili in means probably as much if not more aimless kicking, just by someone else.
Fixed

" What that tells Havili is that he will not play 80min. "I'd have thought Havili might need to be fb cover in case the backline needs shuffling, sure Jordan can replace JB but who would replace a winger? Don't tell me JB is wing as well as midfield cover!??

If ST was dumped for Taylor I will not know what to say.
Taylor is missing impact, passes, tackles... seems to have slipped mightily since a few years ago.I'm not so upset about Hoskins, a fine 8 in the making but it is getting to the stage where I worry this ABs setup will give him some bad habits...
Looks like he was “dumped” for Coles given Taylor is in the same spot he has been all series…
Just on Taylor, his attack was okay in Test 1. Thought his throwing and support play was starting to come good. His tight work wasn’t where we needed it and then he was shocking last weekend. And Sami wasn’t great either. Only front rower that played okay was Bower I thought.
Anyway I have a little bit of faith that he will come out with a bit of fire and step up.
I never thought Sotutu would get a start in this series but thought he may have been a bench option, but they clearly like the Dalton option.

so i assume the presser hasn't happened
what does selection tell us?
Little change to the pack means the same tactics there i imagine.
Havili in means probably as much if not more kicking, just by someone else.absolutely, my take is ST injured/Covid , Havili is the acknowledgement they wanted
anotherat least one kicking option,Fixed. Oh for the days when we had Carter and Dagg on the field.
And Nonu and Conrad

I'm not sure why that's in reply to a post about Taukieaho.
Anyway I've read the thread now and am fucking gobsmacked. Lost what little faith I had left in this coaching group, what a bunch of Fucktards.

@Dan54. Irish pretty much at full strength bar Ringrose. But Aki might me a bigger handful for Havili and RTS. Henshaw good enough for either Jersey.
Bundee will be off his game. I had a quick chat to him in the stands the other night and reminded him (gently) of his CM and Chiefs roots.
Are you guys going for breakfast ?
