@Catogrande my point was mainly to amuse myself instead of doing work.
But also, yes:
-
Changes were justified by performance;
-
This is the best test for wholesale experimentation before the RWC and substantial experiments are needed;
-
Of course that implies that I agree with the coaches that this Welsh team is not as strong as the All Blacks and Australia (I’m conveniently leaving the Argies out of this.)
Is any of that enough for neutrals to reconsider their desire to see the boks thrashed for hubris? Probably not.

@Catogrande Cheers mate. And reciprocated.
-
@MiketheSnow that’s why we play three games, no?

I can agree with the last bit 😉
I wish you, as a die hard Bok supporter, good luck for Saturday but I shall be shouting for Wales. Though I feel a little uncomfortable saying that.
You loves it really

@MiketheSnow let’s try this again: that’s a solid team. Backline looks dangerous. Loosies look ok. But fatties look … appetizing.

I rate your 23
We're just a little better

@MiketheSnow I hope that my view on this is the same come the final whistle on Saturday.
Separately, amazing accomplishment by North, playing his 104th test for Wales on the weekend. Especially when you think of his trouble with injuries and how young he still is. Wonderful player.

Angus Gardner reffing
Not one of my favourites, but can't possibly be worse than the Georgian intern

It's hard to guess what you'll get from this Bok team on Saturday.
A few old heads, but lots of inexperience in there too. Plus, well, I don't know how well they all know each other.
If the debutants can take the step up, then that is a pretty useful team. Certainly one that provides the Boks with future options.
And if they click as a collective, then they will provide Wales with a stern test.But that's quite a few if's...
Of course I will fully back the Boks. Just not with my wallet for this one.

We'll see if I can actually get the words "C'mon Waaaales" out without having a seizure.

@Billy-Webb optimistic that it’ll be closer to Aus 1, 2019 than Wales in Washington, 2018.
Out of interest here are the lineups for those experimental bok lineups:
Aus 1, 2019
15 Warrick Gelant, 14 Sibusiso Nkosi, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 André Esterhuizen, 11 Makazole Mapimpi, 10 Elton Jantjies, 9 Herschel Jantjies, 8 Francois Louw, 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 6 Rynhardt Elstadt , 5 Lodewyk de Jager, 4 Eben Etzebeth (captain), 3 Trevor Nyakane, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 1 Tendai Mtawarira.
Replacements: 16 Schalk Brits, 17 Lizo Gqoboka, 18 Vincent Koch, 19 Marvin Orie, 20 Marcel Coetzee, 21 Cobus Reinach, 22 Frans Steyn, 23 Dillyn Leyds.Wales in Washington, 2018
Curwin Bosch; Travis Ismaiel, Jesse Kriel, Andre Esterhuizen, Makazole Mapimpi; Elton Jantjies, Ivan van Zyl; Ox Nche, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Wilco Louw, Jason Jenkins, Pieter-Steph du Toit (capt), Kwagga Smith, Oupa Mohoje, Dan du Preez
Replacements: Akker van der Merwe, Steven Kitshoff, Thomas du Toit, Marvin Orie, Sikhumbuzo Notshe, Embrose Papier, Robert du Preez, Warrick Gelant
My loose assessment is Saturday’s team is closer to Aus 1. They’re at home, have a far stronger leadership group than either of those sides and the newbies are far better than what went out in Washington.
But this is also a much better Welsh team. Can’t wait.

Chick singing the South African national anthem looked like she'd turned up in a convertible and hadn't fixed her hair.

Bold move to get someone who has no idea how to pronounce Welsh words to sing Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau
