    Tavatavanawai...is he eligible 😉

Jordan, Reece, Fainga'anuku, Telea, Tavatavanawai - and that's just one province - we can't possibly have a problem!!! 🙂

Will Jordan won’t be the last to go down with covid in the camp.
The team that runs on the field Saturday may differ from the team named on Thursday.

Nah, only two players left haven't had Covid before (or now) not much room left for disaster

@Chris-B yeah I dont think Tavatavanawi is even eligible anyway, think he only came to NZ last year??

I think we will be fine, if we cant win with what we have, then we werent gonna win anyway.

Sure, but you don't have to test or isolate for 3 months, so unless they're sick with it, carry on

He came to NZ in 2017 - so should be eligible pretty soon, if he isn't already.

Edit - looks like he is eligible later this year:

@bobily2 Yeah - he was playing club rugby in Marlborough before the Mako picked him up.

A bit like Fetuli Paea - I think they're guys who came to Ta$man to play club rugby, rather than being directly recruited by the Mako.

I stand corrected, seems we have an abundance of talented wings, the only issue is very few of them have the test caps and experience to go with it. Having used Bridge, Jordan, JB on the wings means we have not really blooded or given experience to others.

Lets hope Clarke and LF gets some good minutes this season.

@bobily2 well my comment on him was only tongue in cheek anyway...shame Fiji didnt nab him, but I guess talented wings are not something Fiji are ever short of.

It’s his speed that will be missed the most.

Things are going from bad to worse in terms of preparation. I know the team is putting on a brave face but disruption is never good especially when the AB's are most vulnerable in their first test of the June series.

I had picked AB's to clean sweep based on the strength of Super Rugby and an end of season 5-Test series for the Irish (Maori's may as well be test matches) but now I think that's narrowed.
