Nz was on the wrong end of that 284. In the 2004 series. This current nz team reminds me very much of the 2004 team actually, on the cusp of plummeting freefall.
There is a danger England will plunder our bowling attack. I hope Timmee can come back strong and stop bowling pies. If the ball isn't jagging around I always worry that Henry is also reduced to a pie chucker. Bracewell might be crucial if the pitch starts to exhibit some variable bounce
Henry as 3rd seamer is just poor selection. It should be treated as a specialist position. We've been lucky enough to have 3 of our best old ball bowlers of all time in this squad (albeit all declining) . Henry isnt one of those 3.
Either Stead or Kane or both have to answer for that one. It cost us a series in India and may cost us a series in England now
