@Dice did Savea even play 6 much?
All three loosies are no 8’s. It looks like they only have a category for ‘back row’ rather than each position
I don’t play fantasy rugby but I assume the points system rewards carry metres well? -

@Machpants Not sure if people are into Fantasy Rugby, but thought I'd post it anyway.
Fantasy Rugby XV doesn't mean form XV.
OK no idea what that is apart from some, not all, very random picks!

Fantasy tends to reward attacking stats more.

yeah, i used to play one of those, and you don't pick a rugby team, you pick guys who will rack up stats. Aussie locks were gold because they ran in wide channels a lot.
-
@mariner4life players that don't pass are gold too - all hail Masaga!

Elliott Smith suggests in this pay-walled article that the Highlanders should go after Damian McKenzie, which isn't a strange idea, considering he's from Gore and the Landers do indeed need someone like him.
Also a good reminder in this article that the Blues were chasing Jordie Barrett before and could go after him again, because his contract expires this year.

He'd be a good option for the bench

@Duluth I think it would be his brother ending up on the bench. Perofeta to 10, Jordie to fullback. BB wearing 22. Zarn Sullivan to the Canes and Magpies. Perfect solution.
Sullivan to the Magpies and any other franchise is my preference.
-
@Nepia Yeah, nah. I know I've been suggesting the Highlanders should appoint Mark Ozich, but what I really want is for Ozich to replace Jason Holland at the Canes. A change of guard that could be great for the Bay, because Ozich wouldn't want anything to do with that favouritism that's going on now. Whether we like it or not, the Bay is part of the Hurricanes franchise, so I'd like a coach who recognises that and selects his best players accordingly. That should include bringing players like Zarn home, which would be great as he'd be playing with his brother. And obviously, both signign with the Bay.

The Crusaders will need a replacement for RM soon 😀

@Crazy-Horse Harry Godfrey is another one who would be wasted at the Canes under current management. A bit greener than Zarn, but a special prospect I think.
-
For the good of NZ Rugby Zarn should be playing 10 and that pathway looks blocked at the Blues with Beaudy and Perofeta both around so a shift to another franchise makes sense.
Hopefully Zarn gets time at 10 in the NPC for Auckland - if Auckland play Hickey at 10 in front of Zarn they have rocks in their heads.
-
I only noticed Zarn last year when he had some short spells and what made him stand out was the time he had on the ball. To me that flags him as potential to be a very good ten. He has good control over his kicks as well.
Obviously needs to play there to grow in the decision making area.I'm seeing a slightly different guy this year which makes me wonder if he is trying to much to play a certain way at fullback rather than let his natural instincts show where they should go.
