Geez, Tony Brown just said he's already flying to Japan tonight!
No party at Tony Browns house! Didn't have much hope if he's already booked the ticket!

Very comfortable second half. Sotutu is a hell of a player, midfield skills, disruptive at the ruck, makes his tackles. Has it all.
And Akira really filled the gap left by Dalton, senior player performance again.
BB continues to drive us around the park and is back to adding his moments of brilliance. Comfortably the best ten in the country.
Romano has been huge for us too, as has RTS. That centre pairing has Test level quality written all over it.
Poor coaching from the Clan not to drag clearly injured players. Dumb from the players to stay out there.
As for the ref, let’s just say I hope that’s the last time we have Angus this season. And @antipodean , o’Thief not seeing a clear knock on two metres away is why he’s not getting the top job. Can barely run the touch.

Impressive game from RTS. 7 defenders beaten
There’s a lot of chat on this forum about having a large 12 to get over the advantage line. You can achieve the same with a skilful stepper. He consistently gets over the advantage line because he steps so late and commits the defenders.
He’s getting better and better. So much upside.

That shows O'Keefe calling the possible knock on, confirmed on review.
-
@antipodean in real time the ref asked if there was a knock on and he said no. Angus was the one who decided to check.

De Groot schooling Ofa is not good for the ABs. Lots of talk about RTS but Tupaea the form midfielder. Sotutu keeps impressing for me. He has been really physical this year.

Tupaea the form midfielde
But why? Didn't he let in the tahs try?
-
@Old-Samurai-Jack tbf, Ofa and Hodgman had the weakest blues scrummaging locks combo behind them last night...I expect he would have a bit better time if he had Romano/Goodhue pushing.

I want the Blues to win SRP as its boring the Crusaders always winning. But they need to fix their scrum.

Highlanders were going bloody well in the forwards, but that red card really affected them - de Groot was excellent at loosehead, also impressed with the passing & running game of Fakatava at 9.
Blues blindside Akira Ioane showed again how fast & skillful he is for a big bloke... surely he has to be starting at 6 for the ABs in the first test this year.

Is there really anyone else though, Akira is head and shoulders ahead, coming into great form, no one else comes close right now.

The defence and the turnovers were the best parts of his game last night. And the fact he was doing it late in the game.
