@Victor-Meldrew everyone is pretty used to the bunfights and stuff around appointments to the court, but this is another level aye.
Aye.

@Victor-Meldrew It seems very messy the whole right and left thing. Didn't Trump elect three right wing conservatives during his time meaning it's like 6 Republican and 3 Democrats on the Supreme Court? It must be hard not to let your political leanings influence your decision.
They almost need judges from a neutral country or something.

I think the Left/Right thing has been there for almost forever. What's alarming is that someone deliberately leaked a draft in an attempt to influence the Court's judgement - which is really damaging to the whole system.

The headline is great. The article is even greater.
“FACT CHECK: Leaked opinion would have no bearing on Toobin's ability to bang a colleague's daughter and pressure her to end the pregnancy”

Depends on the chicks for me. The one on the left looks quite Polish...

He’s the adult in the room.

I’ve already stuck my neck out and said 2024 Desantis wins, I think he’ll beat Joe. I believe the Dems are desperate to jettison the old boy, but Kamala polls worse than he does, so they’re stuck with him. Then I saw the Met Gala, which as somebody else commented is like Comic-Con for the Elites, and resurrection of their superstar cult leader Hillary. It looked like imperial restoration. After all the primaries are done, is 2024 going to be a sequel of her vs Donald? I reckon that’s an excellent value overlay right how, and I’m going to look for some fixed odds to play the full parlay.

@Kid-Chocolate Clinton is probably the most intelligent by far, if anyone should lead that country it should be her.
-
does the party have to stick with the incumbent? could the rest of the dems just cut them both loose?

You'd think Joe would want out. Come Nov 24 he's 82.

Time for the fresh faced youngster Hillary! She'll be 77 at the next Presidential election
Dems are suffering from the losses during the Obama years. While he remained popular a generation of Dem candidates was decimated during his 8 years (particularly in the state legislatures)

Not keen on Hills either, but didn't realise she's that old.

“By far,” hmm?
I guess that’s why she spent too much time fundraising with celebrities on Nantucket Island and telling hubby to bugger-off when he repeatedly told her she needed to instead be stumping in Wisconsin, snorted “I got this” “in the bag” and never visited the state once. A real political genius.

I'd agree she's intellectually ahead of most other candidates, but there's no way I support her leading the country.

Honest question, are there any leaders people think should be running their country? Seems very hard to please everyone and there never seems to be much consensus on these things. I think Jacinda in the last election had one of the biggest leads but even she seems out of favour by many at the moment.
Why is it that so many people end up running these countries that most people deem to be unsuitable etc. I liked Sanders and Yang last time but they didn't seem to get too much traction.
Watching Scomo and Elbow go at it is pretty embarrassing I must admit.

I find these posts quite funny because for every post like this there are a million about Trump or whoever is opposite. I'm sure Trump did plenty of fundraising events etc. There always seems to be a shit throwing/smear campaign when it comes to comparing candidates. We rarely get to hear them talk in long form about policy, their vision etc.
I only base my opinion on Clinton after listening to her on long form podcasts interview shows like Stern etc. She comes across very switched on and very capable. I can't say the same for many others.
How do you judge or evaluate politicians? How do you choose or think which one would be best to lead a country?
