wait. what?
How on earth is this even a decent possibility? A team from a competition played exclusively in Australasia/Pacific (ish) made up of players exclusively from NZ is going to develop a global brand? Especially in a niche minority sport like rugby?
The ABs one i can kind of understand. Kind of.
This gobbelty gook makes no sense. The fuck am i missing?
Well ManU became huge in Asia for a while...
oh fuck yeah my bad
Can't wait for all those Indonesian kids to be walking around in imitation A Savea jerseys

Maybe this was really a long term thing, given we dont even have 'Hurricanes' in the Southern Hemisphere, surely they were always planning on appealing to the NH market!

Now that is what red cards should be for, and no replacing the player.

@Crazy-Horse threadjack...I may be remembering wrong, but was the punishment a bit soft given the filth of the act?

@taniwharugby Yellow card and two weeks

Fijian Drua and Ta$man Mako$ Number 8, Te Ahiwaru Cirikidaveta meets his father for the very first time in Fiji.
His mother was pregnant with him when she left Fiji for NZ. He never met his biological father as his mum settled in NZ with a Maori man who raised him as his own son and soon had a new family with him. His father could not legally travel to NZ to meet him and with rugby on his mind, Te Ahiwaru didn't get the time to come to visit him, but he decided to carry his birth father's surname and this weekend when the Drua plays the Highlanders in Fiji, this is the first time they have ever met. His father Eroni was a winger playing for Naitasiri back then.. Video in link - -

@Toddy fuck me...if that was today, straight red and surely min 6 weeks?
dropped to 3 weeks as he hasn't elbowed McCaw in the head before and showed remorse. Then reduced to two as he went on an elbow technique programme he hadn't done before.
but yeah, wow, different game. Fark McCaw was awesome, GOAT rugby player.

Is there any common sense to this AB resting policy?
Supposedly the ABs are meant to miss 2 games but Mo'unga missed games at the start of the season on a break of at least 2 games, meanwhile Laulala just had 2 weeks off due to suspension and now he's also on an AB rest week?

Do you know where you can find all the previous rounds?
-
@kiwi_expat They're all posted on the official website. I don't think there was one for round 1, btw.

Out of curiosity is their a thread or location that lists all the injured or unavailable players per team? It appears there are a lot of players injured and it would be interesting to see which teams have been impacted the most. You could almost make an injured 15 to see just how many people are unavailable.
