@kiwiinmelb Yes it has been mentioned and yes we might see him fighting a bit longer than what he showed in the 2nd and 3rd Wilder fights. I would think that he'll start off on the backfoot for the first few rounds picking him apart and making Whyte tire as his gas tank isn't the best, before eventually planting his feet and looking to take him out in the 2nd half of the fight. One thing Whyte does do well is go to the body before following up with his left hook so thats the only way I can see him having any sort of success and he'll need to go early as well as the longer the fight goes, the stronger Fury gets.

Stylistically fury is a nightmare match up for Whyte ,
He likes to fight on the inside but is no mike Tyson or joe Frazier anyway ,
Better skills, much bigger body frame to keep him on the outside from fury , it became obvious early where it was heading
That uppercut was a peach of a punch ,not sure we would have seen that shot under the old fury from years ago, he has become an alround much more difficult opponent under sugar hill

Pretty much how most predicted ie, Fury outboxed Whyte.
TBH I can't see any of the top heavyweights beating Fury. He's really awkward, extremely long and unless you can push him around he'll pick you off. He's really hard to hit as well with his length and great body movement for a guys so big.

Yeah the more I see him the more I see what you mean. It’s easy to look back on the glory days and grab any number of guys from the 60s through to the 2000s who ‘should’ beat Fury but the more I see the more I realise it’s not a sure thing.
Very hard to hit, has a reach for Africa and even when he does get tagged he has toughness and heart. Still question marks over his hitting power but in the era he’s in it seems more than decent.

@TheMojoman Usyk beats him imo and I'm a big Fury fan too. Usyk's speed out of the pocket and his ability to change angles troubles Fury massively. Fury would have to use his size to bully him but I think Usyk's footwork won't allow him to lie all over him and clinch him to death.

@MiketheSnow Its easily the biggest fight in the division.
Have to disagree on the size argument. Usyk showed enough to me against AJ that he's quick enough to combat the size aspect along with his ring IQ which is some of the best you'll see.
If Fury is to be considered an ATG, he has to beat Usyk imo. The way he speaks down about Usyk suggests to me that he himself knows how good he is deep down.

Defintiely agree that if he walks away now he tarnishes his legacy.

Yeah I wasn’t so much thinking knockouts but more potentially finding himself behind on the scorecards, I don’t believe he has ever been in a situation where he might be behind
You look at all the other fighters in the division and you think Tyson outpoints this guy , then you look at usyk and it’s, I’m not so sure

@KiwiMurph Yup the looping overhand right which he got knocked down by Pajkic earlier in his career as well. Having said that, he's improved massively since then and his far better defensively than he was 10 or so years ago.
Let's also not forget how badly he struggled against another southpaw Otto Wallin. Wallin is decent, but Usyk is leagues above him and will go down as an ATG. I still think Usyk does him imo.
