As I've said before Coombes-Fabling has shown that he is a very good sevens players, but I assume that he wants to focus on XVs.
To small for most coaches/selectors at higher levels I would think. (At wing anyway)
He is definitely too small to play wing in XVs at the higher level, which is why I think sevens is a better option. SA have a lot of quick players of a similar size. In the video below LCF is not always on the wing. He's good over the ball too, and scored the first and last (game-winning) try of the match.

The lack of rugby for the BF 7s probably doesn't help

She was still one of the best players in the squad, so it's a pity she's leaving, but it's understandable if you've won everything there is to win.
This year's RWC Sevens and Commonwealth Games Sevens will show us where they're at with the new players.

Joe WebberIn line for their international sevens debut are Leroy Carter, Moses Leo, Brady Rush, Caleb Tangitau and Kitiona Vai.
North Harbour’s Moses Leo, Northland’s Brady Rush and Auckland’s Kitiona Vai are not new to the All Blacks Sevens programme, but their opportunity to debut has been delayed by Covid 19.
“They have been with us a couple of years, so they really deserve this opportunity and are ready for it.”
19-year-old Caleb Tangitau only signed with the All Blacks Sevens at the start of this year but has impressed in his recent outings, while Bay of Plenty and former New Zealand Under 20 player Leroy Carter also comes into the squad of 13.
“Caleb has only been with us a couple of months, but he has done really well these last couple of weeks and has genuine pace. Leroy is a professional, he’s diligent with his work and can play multiple positions, we’re looking forward to seeing how he goes.”
Laidlaw also noted the return of Commonwealth Games and World Cup winning forward Trael Joass.
“Resilience is the right word for Trael. It’s been a long haul since he did his ACL, he was just getting back to full fitness when Covid came around. He deserves this opportunity because he’s worked extremely hard and he’s in good condition.”
A veteran of 54 World Series tournaments, Sam Dickson’s leadership will be invaluable with both Tim Mikkelson (injured) and Scott Curry (unavailable) not in the line up for Singapore.Another new addition to the All Blacks Sevens is Skills Coach Euan Macintosh, replacing Liam Barry who finished with the side after the Olympics.

The Singapore Sevens are this weekend.
AB7s games on Sat 9 April 2022:
3:06pm: v Argentina
5:50pm: v Scotland
9:06pm: v WalesNew Zealand is in pool C. Wherever on the pool standings we end up, the first opponent on day 2 will come from pool B (Australia, England, Spain or Samoa).
Despite playing tournaments in Fiji, the AB7s will be seriously undercooked at World Series level. I think I'll be happy if they can finish at 5th place overall. They'll have to finish at least 2nd in their pool to reach that.
