definitely, cant argue an international should bring something to the team...still random...but very on brand for us thats there has been no mention of it officially
-
@kiwiwomble thought that was what the secrecy was all about re extra players
-
@daffy-jaffy yeah, saw that earlier
just a bit down on the highlanders in general at the moment, no hype on their socials or anything, a fan page spots him at training and then someone asks the club and theyre like..."oh yeah....and this former english international is actually pretty good...did you guys want to know this?"
But also, too late? seems like the kind of signing we could have got excited about earlier, did his agent get the dates for the start of the season wrong? or did we ask him over once we picked up a couple of injuries?

I think he left UK for family reasons/personal reasons. He’s just late availability, and there would’ve been MIQ shenanigans earlier too, I guess

@machpants hell of a gamble rocking up half way through the season, i guess maybe he wasn't expecting a gig, just some training and prep for NPC?
Solomona has signed for the remainder of the Super Rugby Pacific season as a replacement player for the Highlanders, and he will then join North Harbour for their NPC campaign
this is interesting given whats been going on with Alaimalo
The winger has previously spoken candidly about his battle with depression, as a way of highlighting the importance of being open about mental health
-
@kiwiwomble Just the interview about the extra players who had been invited to training. Abraham Pole was named, and Freedom, but there were postings asking why others were not mentioned for fans sake.

Must be about time for you to call for the Highlanders to be moved to North Harbour...
this isn't a stupid idea
Auckland can handle the extra side.
Then the Crusaders can move to Dunedin to play in the sort of stadium a team of that quality deserves
And then CCC doesn't have to build a stadium in Christchurch and can put the funds to more municipal uses.
wins all 'round

Very good idea. Take some inspiration from the amazing brains in the Blues franchise.

@stargazer i do rate Harmon but if i had to choose id rather get TUJ

Summary:
bad news: TU-J 's recovery is taking longer than anticipated and is still weeks away from a return.
good news: Harmon is doing better and may make a return very soon, sooner than expected. It's sad that I am not surprised that TUJ's recovery is taking longer than expected. I wonder if we will ever see the best of him and his brother.
