Interestingly, current top 4 ranked teams, which I think is correct, although maybe not in that order, are all on the same side of the draw. 2 of those teams won't make it to the semis...
1 South Africa 90.61
2 France 88.88 (+0.33)
3 New Zealand 88.75
4 Ireland 88.22 (+0.13) -

Yeah winner A plays 2nd B, and vice versa. NZ France in A, SA Ireland in B. It's different from what went before, I think.

Thanks.
Prefer they mixed the QFs between pools but it is what it is.

@booboo It is extremely unusual to do that, if matches are played in a close geographical area.
England could not have a better draw - quite possibly with Fiji and Australia in quarters and semis if they scrape past Japan. Poor old France might not even make semis. If NZ progresses, they only have to play Ireland/France and South Africa to make final.
Utterly irresponsible draw made by World Rugby

After Spain, now also Georgia has qualified for the RWC 2023. They're in pool C with Wales, Australia, Fiji and the winner of the final qualification tournament.
Wales, Australia, Fiji, Georgia. Same 4 teams as 2019 meet in pool play in 2023…

Just feels like Groundhog Day doesn't it? I remain amazed that WR are still too incompetent to seed a year out of the tournament.
TBH apart from the ability to ride the coattails of diplomatic hobnobbing, I really don't care about the RWC anymore. By 2019 I was hoping the All Blacks would do a threepeat so every other country would divert their energy to Making Tests Great Again.
