France v England

Well done Les Crapauds. Well deserved and so good to watch.
Aside from the rather annoying fact that they are much better than us the other important moments in the game we’re I feel the Teflon hands the French had in the first half. 2 or was it 3 butchered tries. Could have been ugly. The Nowell/Jaminet penalty issue - I felt sanity prevailed but was holding my breath. The threebiggest fuck ups for England? The failure to give new blood a chance over the last 15 months or so. Bizarre selections and the failure to secure the services of Shaun Edwards for the umpteenth time.

for me it was the French defence, continuity and cohesion between forwards and backs that makes them look slick along with that drive to get that extra yard with ball in hand, knowing your support players will be there on your shoulder.
England on the other hand, alot of thier play seemed ineffective and directionless, alot of aimless and poor kicks, in part due to the French defence, but think they lacked patience as well.

Is Alldritt the best no.8 around? He is for me.
Faletau kept him quiet last week

Itoje is the England weathervane.
If you can stop him getting his arrogance levels up he goes into his shell and when England look to him for inspiration he is a ghost of the player he can sometimes be.
Eddie knows this which is why he encourages him to be a cock. When he can't because he has nothing to be cocky about the he is very average.Edit: mentioning Eddie, are the press out for blood yet?

@billy-tell At this stage, NZ is nowhere near it. France, Ireland, and maybe SA. Next layer England, NZ, and Aussie.

Marcus Smith is so over rated, he's a headless chook. Dmac of the North, with more kicking.
I think he needs more time and a better pack with a game plan. The problem is English nuffies have built him up too much.
He's not as shit as Furbank.

Smith kicking game was atrocious. Think England lost every dual.
Knives out for Eddie big time over here.
Am not surprised

Not if we play like last November. But we have the cattle and we have time. SA were crap in 2018 and RWC winners in 2019. Maybe adding Schmidt will help. After the pool game, we can't meet France again until a final.

If I were the RFU, I'd dump Eddie and sign Razor.

Would have given motm to one of the French back row.
Agree. Dupont is awesome and played brilliantly but he gets watched so much everything he does is noticed and mentioned.
Best Rugby players I ever saw:
Richie McCaw, Michael Jones, Dan Carter, John Eales, Jonah Lomu and Antonie Dupont.
He's that good. Fucking genius of a Half Back.

Thing is, they very rarely put numbers into a breakdown and if they do, there's one or two joining the ruck. Their short game is just so good - superb lines and passing, as well as high aggression ball in hand that they get such quick ball without piling in because the opposition have no time to get into the breakdown, then are caught halfway between defending and heading to the breakdown, creating more holes!

It is going to need to be one hell of a turn around for us to be in the final in 18 months, let alone win it.

In a nutshell. Many were drooling over Dupont’s late try - and he did take it well, but the real work had been done in the two or three phases leading up to his break that put him in that position. Mind you, Dupont was heavily involved in the build up too.
Some player.
