So if he has been sacked , what is the deal with his contract money wise ?

Are they paying him out ?

Given that the Warriors instigated it they call around the other clubs and see who is willing to offer him the most money. Obviously his stock has fallen so usually no club will be willing to offer the full clip so they will release him to whatever club offers the highest salary that the player is agreeable to playing for. The Warriors would then top up the difference between his contract with the Titans and what he was on at the Warriors.

That's at least been the process in the past. If it was player instigated (i.e. homesickness, hates the club etc etc) then they would just release him with no pay out.

That is what I figured , and the short fall gets included in your salary cap , this where they have to be careful sacking everyone like the fools on radio sport go on about , not as simple as that if they are contracted

I'm guessing they called this emergency meeting due to their inability to get Cappy sacked. I mean how many more games do they need to collectively throw before he joins Elliott and the rest.

I just hope it unravels sooner than later. Time to rip the band-aide off nice and quick and get down to improving things.

Seems like many of the players have no idea about being a professional. Or that being a paid athlete means everyone (coach, managers and captain) has to defer to you and your feelings. ffs anyone with that mindset needs to sort their shit out asap.

John Bracewell had a term for it: pea hearted. I don't know if it was fair for Ian Butler, but it sure fits plenty of the Warriors squad.

Warriors try to get their season back on track against..... Brisbane Broncos. Manu returns to the wing so no Jono Wright. Pretty much the same 13 that got humilated by Canberra but the bench is over-hauled.

Wally referred to a "cast of thousands" on the radio this morning. He wasn't wrong. What a joke

Thurston got away with a knock on 4 metres out from the Blues try line. Morris chipped and chased and it was Thurston's hand that got in there.

It was physical but where is the positive attacking play, from both teams? Very little variation at all
