@kiwi_expat a connection through my work knows Holland fairly well and said he was open to shifting. The fact he's come out and said he isn't I guess puts that to bed but you never know. Hurricanes coaches and staff have said one thing to the media before and have completely gone against their word so who really knows. If he doesn't perform this year, he should be out anyway IMO.
Having never successfully applied for the job in the first place I am staggered and upset he is still there
Canes seem to get a fair few shite coaches, Hammett was another one.

@duluth he's still making his way back from injury I believe.
I guess things would be looking a little different if we had all of Coles, Franks, Bird, Scrafton, Perenara, Gibson & Walker-Leawere available for selection.

Walker-Leawere
A few years ago, I thought he would have played for the All Blacks by now.

I remember in a U20 game he chased down a winger. Someone with his size and speed should've kicked on. I'd say he is the best lock in NZ rugby over the ball - he gets a ridiculous number of turnovers.

Are his turnovers from getting over the ball or holding players up off the ground? I notice the latter way more.

That's a good question. I think I've seen a fair bit of both - though I don't really have any specific instances to back that up.

@tim injuries and not being selected by the incompetent Holland hasn't helped
Might be injury related, but I wonder if fitness has been an issue for Walker-Leawere? It might just be his body shape, but he didn't look like he was in great nick the last couple of years.

He missed the entire Bunnings NPC and this states that he is out for the entire season if you can be bothered to scroll down to near the end of the article

We got back into the match through our flair, then the Crusaders slowed the game down taking complete control in the set pieces, lost count how many bloody tries they scored driving over the line from lineouts inside our 22... our forward play has to be much better than the rubbish we showed tonight.

you blokes showed enough I reckon,I am glad we got you out of the way early at least for the First one.
I have a feeling you might give the Blues a run next week. The Blues are behind the ball with match fitness ( nothing beats match fitness you can train all you like but it doesn't match playing)
Jordie Ardie and Amua will be better for the game time. -

Yeah, this is a real worry for us.
May make a difference,When you add a few players didn't play NPC either.
