Playing the books from your own 22 is dumb as hell. So frustrating.

    Set piece poor again.

Best to just move Rieko back into centre in combination with ALB.

Biggest disappointment for me over these last 2 tests has been the round the field work of our props or lack of , when you compare it to the boks despite them slowing it down , even the Wallabies props against the boks were more prominent.
Our wingers in the main over the 2 tests did not provide the impact I thought they would ..
One guy who despite playing against the Boks for the first time whom I thought was very good was Ethan Blackadder..
Special mention for Archie Savea in terms of his toughness, but his captaincy I thought at times was poor .
The one player who cemented his spot moving forward was Jordie Barrett, our best player over the 2 tests in my opinion ..
Not much else to say but a deserved win to the Boks

Havili/ALB midfield lacks a ball carrier. We really could do with a physical 12.

    Definitely lacked penetration

To me ALB and Havili are the same type of player. Not the ideal partnership.

Laumape couldn't nail it down. We need to find that power player

Also if you have selected those players you probably needed to have a different play book for Boks.

@rancid-schnitzel Bullshit! Was wondering which direction the usual crap was going to go. Boks won on a better forward pack. Get over it.

Um what? What part offended you so much?

    Maul defence was mostly good.

Retallick not the same player this year.

Laulala hasn't done it in the scrums or round the field.

Tuipulotu isn't going to be a loss. Scrums look suspect again on the LH side when he is playing.

    Set piece poor again.

Set piece was bad again. Retallick and Taylor not in great form. Not convinced by Bower & Laulala around the field. Plus Ofa hasn’t returned from injury very well

Not too worried about things like the midfield etc. A lot of the other issues flow on from the tight five.

Looking forward to Whitelock getting back

How much rugby has Ofa played in recent years. Doesn’t even start for Blues?

Yes started up front and it flowed back from there,
    Missing Whitelock heaps.

We lost the game as soon as we started talking about Grand Slams

Any links? First I’ve heard that.

The loss we had to have 😉

Interesting thing that there were four distinct periods.
    First 15: to and fro
    Second 20 ABs on top.
Third 25 Boks dominated (14 unanswered points)
    Last 20 ABs on top.
Big impact from bench. From 35 to 60 where Boks were best, and we were at our worst.
Will be focus of my rewatch.

What a fantastic game of rugby. Absolute chaos. Cross field kick in your own 10m? Fuck it, why not.

Thought the Springboks deserved it - forwards just dominated the ABs in every facet - honourable mention to Ardie Savea who was huge.

Most enjoyable game I've seen in years. Had everything. Physicality, mad skills. Hell the Boks even ran it.

    No thanks….😉

The only test match I have missed in the last 25 years is the 99 semi and to this day I have not watched it. I have seen the odd highlight here or there but I refuse to sit down and put myself through it.

Foster's team with no ability too deal with this shit.

Been there long before Foster took over. Thought there were signs of improvement but the last 2 games have exposed that thought

@victor-meldrew the thing is he was in Shag's coaching side too before becoming head coach and they told us what the problems were (relatively accurately I thought) but have not fixed them.

    Pat T continues to disappoint.

In some ways, he's become an analogy for the team. Good for short periods but goes AWOL when things aren't going well

Judge him on current performances by all means, but I don't think he can take the blame for Hansen's problems any more than a completely new coaching set-up could expect a get-out-of-jail card for a string of crap performances
