BB kicking has been pretty dire, and the backline has just looked very average.
He wasn't the worst on the field, but no AB backline runs smoothly when Beauden plays 10. We used to get away with it because he was brilliant, but now we have a #10 who barely runs and who passes badly.
Despite Bridge's utter awfulness, and some of TJ's passing, and the shitty lineouts, we had enough running ball to do something. But with Beauden at first receiver it never happens. For me he is now far behind Richie Mo'unga. It's not like we even need him as a place kicker.
Put Havili outside someone else, and he'll be fine. It's not like ALB really shone outside Beauden either.

World Rugby really needs to look at these continuing stoppages, you get penalised for a delayed put in at the scrum time so why not delaying walking to a lineout..?
But but… he was holding his head…
The other thing WR need to crack down on with the reffing is the players in front of the ball. The Boks are the masters of it and there were at least 3 tonight that an AB defender was impeded. If I want to watch NFL, I’ll turn it to ESPN.

Error ridden game - full of terrible catching and terrible passing.
I'm going to give our boys a bit of benefit of the doubt that the ball must have been slippery in the humidity (was it humid?).
Surely it was too awful to simply be incompetence by almost everybody?

Where's all the love for Akira gone? And the hate for Blackadder?
The fern is fickle
Each week one Ioane has to get opprobrium on here, it is TSF DNA. The keyboard warrior equivalent of Highlander.
It’s pretty pathetic at times.
Certain posters ignore anything good they do and pounce on any mistakes.
Yet gloss over any mistakes their pet players make.
To be fair you were pretty hard on Blackadder last week and you are pretty gentle on Akira. Not a fault, we all gave our faves...
And as I said last week, when did our standards drop so far that that many missed tackles and penalties gets a pass?
If he did that this week that’s a loss.
It almost was as a lot of players knocked on and missed tackles tonight.

It was nice of them to share the load so Blackadder didn’t have to do it all himself

I have another question: who is our no. 1 hooker now?

I will start it ,was Foster re signed to soon.
No progression against this negative type Rugby.
Argies last year, last game against England, we won tonight but we do not react well to this BS rugby.
WC,s are won playing this way History tells us,Very disappointing as the WC is supposed to show case Rugby.
Do we need some rules thrown away and simplify the game.
I don’t want to watch test rugby played like that to often.Let's reserve judgement until next week. No excuse not to be ready for the physicality and intensity next week

That needs to be accompanied by some Mando gif or meme.

Personally I thought you were hard on Blackadder last week (and I think I said not to judge him on one game in the thread) but it is interesting the flak Akira is copping this week for two handling errors in comparison to Blackadder's error rate last week.

@kirwan the Springboks in your face , rush up defense cause it.
The All Blacks never like this.
That created problems and we were too loose. Needed to go up the guts a bit more.
But as a bok fan surely you can't be happy with all that aimless kicking?

Then some other blokesWe've gone from having our top 2 and then a void that we filled with triers, now we have 4 that we can throw into a test and not worry too much.

Akira was poor tonight ,certainly would not drop him after one bad game ,He has been good all year just not tonight.

Then some other blokesIt'd like it to be that way, but I'm afraid Coles won't make it to the RWC with all his injuries. I kind of expected him to retire from international rugby earlier this year and as much as I hate to say it, but maybe it's time? Taukei'aho seems a great successor; I think he's already overtaken Aumua. It would be great if another good hooker emerges from SR next season.
