3 Barretts starting.
Imagine if it hadn't already happened this season, it might be slightly more exciting š¬
I think it has happened quite a few times but I still go, wow, I remember when it was a bit weird to have two Whetton ABs..
Do Reiko and Akira have a brother ? I hope not cos heād be feeling all sorts of stink about not playing too.

You mean like the shorter Hemsworth bro actor (Westworld) that nobody ever remembers?!

I'm not convinced Marshall and Cowan aren't brothers. Probably another brother in DMac too. Not Mils or Goldie though, think that's obvious.
I would have thought Goldie was closer to Cowan and Marshall than DMac, similar size, chunky rear, all hideously blonde. DMac is skinnier but also has the blonde.

A mate of mine went out with someone from down south who is a distant cousin with both on different sides of the family. Making jokes like you did is probably a big factor in them breaking up like they did.

DMac must be related to Zinny for obvious reasons.

i dont mind it
I'm underwhelmed a bit but I don't know what I would change with no ALB. Can't argue with forwards though.
Whilst still a work in progress, Ioane is the second best centre in the squad, so he has to play there.
I wouldāve gone for Reece on the wing, but canāt complain about the other two selected.
Will be interesting if one of our wingers has to go off, will they put Tups on and move Ioane or do they put DMac on and move Jordie. If itās early in the game I reckon the latter because of experience.
Flakes did well against Boks when Hodge came on by having big boot to drive them back when kicking for territory.
So Jordie for me to stay at 15. Iād bring on Quinn.

Same bonce.
Have to admit, something I've never ever thought upon seeing Goldie/Marshall/Cowan is "check the toilet on that". But hey, different strokes.

To continue my story from my previous postā¦..not related to Jeff Wilson who was clearly from a more skilled, less aggressive, less bogan narrow gene pool down south.
Has Jimmy Cowan ever considered commentating ?

I'm amazed to find that Scott Barrett has nearly 50 tests under his belt. And we still think of him as the journeyman.
For me this year heās come of age at international level.
Yep he's the lock we hoped Tulip would become (still rides a little too close to the card line but getting there).

@nostrildamus well @mn5 doesn't like the fact I dislike his dad and the utter tripe he writes, so posts links hoping I'll throw him a click.

3 Barretts starting. Only second group of 3 brothers to be ABs?
Dammit, five years since that article and Rattue still hasn't added the third Brownlie brother!

Interesting comments by Foz about the bench and picking those who had played the Boks before.
Despite his half lidded eyes makin ghim look pissed, that was the most concise and articulate interview I've heard from him

Jesus there some clueless comments here, not all of them, but these leapt out. More stuff to be up on the changing room walls š
This is not the same team that won the World Cup. Let's be very clear on that. They've lost a number of their players who have headed off overseas
SA freely pick from anywhere
And two years ago, they were playing a lot more open and expansive rugby than this team is showing us this year."
Obviously didn't watch the semi versus Wales
The fullback is fine; Willie le Roux is a very good player
Was
Is.
"Willie le Roux is a very good player"
āWillie le Roux was a very good playerā he has been average for quite sometime
oh not arguing with that, I just couldn't find Mains saying that, he blamed the centre, props..
I'm missing your point, he said the Le Roux is not a problem as he is a very good player. Which is utter rubbish, he was def a problem versus the Wallabies - he was responsible for a lot of the stiffled attack

Just watching the last game again and it occurred to me that this squad really doesnāt have much in the way of filler. Just about everyone is either performing or has done so.
There are some obvious rankings among players but even those at third rank are performing well.
Credit is due to the coaching staff and team leaders for what they have created as far as a squad and contest for spots.
We have a hooker that wasnāt even in the proper squad but is now pushing the top spot IMO.
Lomax is looking like he has found his feet. Sotutu has gone from being very average in NPC to playing well.
Even with a lack of play guys are coming in from the training paddock in form.
Whether the tactics etc end up being right is still to be seen but maybe Foster and co. Are doing some stuff right?
