@crucial If Randle, probably Reihana.
There were lots of Highlanders loose forwards around that time, but maybe mostly a bit earlier. Jamie Joseph. Isi Maka - as well as Taine and Josh. Maybe some others.
Randle yes. Reihana no.
Jospeh, Maka and Josh no. Taine is 18

Hayman?
That's right. Hayman, Holah and Ranby in the same test at Albany. Hayman became AB #1000 because of his surname ahead of Ranby.
Talking about number 8s didn’t that unit from the Highlanders play around then. Miller?
33

Was that the year Toddy Blackadder was captain?
No. Toddy was captain in 2000 (and the tour games in 97)

David Hill was on the same EOYT as Randle.
Was he a 10 or a 12 then?
Between him, Ranby and both Keith Lowen and Regan King (who I looked up earlier when things were a bit quieter - both debuted in 2002), the Chiefs had a lot of midfield options then.

@act-crusader Forwards or Backs?

@act-crusader That's no help!

I'm going to say Tony Brown.
He's there twice, so might as well be three-times!
Good pick up. My spreadsheet was doing funny things. Had Jeff Wilson in there twice as well.

That happens when you're working on your phone!
