@hooroo necessary though.
They will have the pressure on to uphold the jersey which is good. Not often the second string get meaningful gamesthat test them.Plus, there are two Barretts, Taylor and Jacobson on the bench if required.
257 Caps on the bench, might be the most experienced bench ever.
Doubt it, 2015 had kevvie on the bench.
Reserves
16. Keven Mealamu (131)
17. Ben Franks (46)
18. Charlie Faumuina (32)
19. Victor Vito (32)
20. Sam Cane (30)
21. Tawera Kerr-Barlow (19)
22. Beauden Barrett (35)
23. Sonny Bill Williams (32) -

I think Lomax has overtaken Ta'avao in the pecking order. Good.
He definitely has a higher ceiling than Angus.
Let's hope Lomax remembers his last start well!
While there might be some flutters over that forward pack, I think as a player when you look around and don't see a lot of experienced guys you feel the responsibility on yourself a lot more and as a result you can often find something extra you might not have found if you were surrounded by vets.
These tests remind me of that 2005 grand slam tour!

I don't see either playing in the next 2 games.

Aumua has a bruised calf, Akira Ioane and Papalii both have "knocks".

That looks like the worst tight 5 I have seen us put out in a long time.
I really like the front row.

@nepia Sotutu is a curious case. IMO he was the or in top 3 Number 8's in Super Rugby but then got surpassed by Jacobson. Now Blackadder has leapt frogged him in the squad due to his versatility.
Welcome back bro.
Big fan of Sotutu, hope he plays well.

@act-crusader Great to be back!

Went off the boil a little. His appearances in the NPC were underwhelming. Has some good skills though so worth keeping in the mix. He'll come right.

I just bought tickets for the whole fam for this game so I hope we don't get ambushed by the Pumas.
It's a calculated risk by Foster and co. They had to rotate given the Boks next week but they've got some experience on the bench in Taylor, Tu'ungafasi, Barrett they can call upon of the crap hits the fan. I was at the game last year in Sydney and when things became an arm wrestle the bench wasn't able to turn things around so theres that too.

@act-crusader sum of the parts will be the key though. Still very much a team game.
