you don't need to narrow it down to Super sides
I reckon we could find a year where damn near every first division NPC union had a gun at 7.

@mariner4life without doubt, was more just three of them being at the highlanders so i was trying to think who was stoping one of them starting for the blues or canes for example

Names like Braid. Collins. Vinisi. Waldrom?
Years are starting to blur together, but there were a lot of guys gunning for not many jerseys.

@mariner4life I remember the 2005 Lions tour, and I was playing Fantasy Rugby where you picked players, I always had a Kiwi 7 in each of the games...Herring, Bradnock etc they all raked in loads of points I finished 3rd in the whole wide world for that one...
@Duluth and he had heart valve issues too!

I'll always remember the Planet Rugby awards for the 2005 Lions tour and they gave Nili Latu the Provincial Player of the tour as he set the scene for every team the Lions played having a gun 7 to overcome
-
@mariner4life he was outstanding!
Think it was Johnny Leo'o for the Crusaders, he was another excellent 7, played NZ A?

I went to that game in Rotorua. I seem to remember Bourke having a big game.
