Waikato vs Wellington

Wellington are the biggest chokers in NZ rugby, we’ve got so used to it that it’s become the norm.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but after 8 failed finals appearances since 2000 I think us fans deserve a medal to still be backing this lot.
When I die I want the Wellington Lions to attend my funeral so they can let me down one last time.

Bizarre match. Thought Waikato in trouble with two rookie front rowers after a few minutes. Savea Love Kirifi and Fidow very good. Didn't think PUJ did much though.
But second half was dominated by Samepeni Finau and James Tucker playing like men possessed. Hard lines Wellington but the subs were a step down. -

@stargazer Kirifi seemed fine when he came off. Was sitting behind the Wellington dugout. He was standing and yelling from the sideline and whatnot.
That is a coaching howler in my opinion. He looked sharp!! Game changer

Cam stone is a dogshit referee. Missed 2 crucial knock ons.
And he was getting plenty of abuse from the crowd. PUJ looked way offside when he got his intercept try. Some obvious missed forward passes from both teams.
Waikato's right-side defence with Smith and Coombes-Fabling was badly exposed in the 1st half. Trying to throw miracle passes on attack didn't help either. No patience.
A bizarre game in the end.
I was surprised to see Sam Cooper starting at hooker as he hasn't been sighted in over a year. The 3 hookers named in the squad weren't playing.

Super teams should be eyeing up Ratima.
Ratima has looked better than Roe in both games so far.

@yeetyaah despite his goal kicking he was superb, probably the best game I’ve seen from him until he got injured. Hopefully that was just a bad day with the boot.
I’m still pissed off that we let that game slip. Bloody balls up. Cudos to the Mooloos for not throwing in the towel.

@canes4life yeah agree he looked dangerous. I'm also surprised Waikato won tbh. I had literally given up hope at half time.
