Taylor said on Thursday that boycotting the Hurricanes was not the answer, and it was time to “think about what is unravelling in front of us.

“I understand the anger of those Hurricanes fans who are threatening to boycott games but why not send a much more powerful message by turning out in force to support your team, not just the Pasifika and Māori, but the entire team.
“Don’t let the hurtful comments of one person impact on what they have built together. Imagine the message you send to that Board member, and part owner, sitting up in his corporate box when he sees how you reject the ill informed comments he has made, and continues to double down on.”
Taylor said he had been accused of denigrating the contribution of his European ancestors in favour of his Māori ancestors, but his online education programme celebrated an unbroken link from early voyagers to the country’s world class sailors todayy

What an appalling human being is Troy Bowker. I saw his comments on LinkedIn. A red-necked investment banker and private equity capitalist telling everyone he is “as rich as f*&k” and can say what he likes.
Memo to Troy: You are free to say what you like, but as the part owner of a larger commercial sporting franchise highly dependent on sponsors and public goodwill, you do not get to say it without consequences.
If you were a board member of an NBA or NRL franchise, your head would already be on a stick. Corporate governance is now a big business in itself and were you company a listed entity, hedge funds would currently be shorting the hell out of it.
I wrote to the NZR to express my disgust at this man’s frankly adolescent and boorishly ignorant behaviour and was told in reply:
“The comments made by Troy Bowker are not supported by New Zealand Rugby in any way and are not reflective of the values of our organisation and the aspiration we have for our game across the country. Although we have no jurisdiction over the makeup of our Super Rugby Club Boards, we are in dialogue with the Hurricanes to provide support as required.”

I can't see him staying on the board. He will need to volunteer to disappear for a while I reckon, him staying just fuels the fire

I haven't watched Squidge since he blew his load over Hansen's 4D chess and wondered if any team could get close to the AB's at the 2019 world cup. I did enjoy his humour though.

I haven't watched Squidge since he blew his load over Hansen's 4D chess and wondered if any team could get close to the AB's at the 2019 world cup. I did enjoy his humour though.
Oh righto. Just watched the first couple of lions v SA reviews and he mentioned those exact 3 people in one of his tricky 3-frame-long text-on-a-black-background thingies.
I see what you mean about before the world cup. He is seriously talented though I reckon. He has genuinely picked up the way SA have used a couple of key players, and predicted the ways the Lions would be able to crack the SA defence, which was exactly how they scored in the first match.

@delicatessen he's not a hundred percent right, but his analysis is the best out there. He is brilliant at picking up patterns, even if his predictions based on that aren't right. Fuck, who knew that the ABs forwards would roll over Vs England?
