Plenty of cries of outrage on radio sport today too :)

Rennie on Darcy's show after 4pm. Apparently he's pretty angry and ready to say so.

How dull.

I hope he admits it and says "ya gotta do what ya gotta do" That is the only acceptable thing for me

I would be embarrassed if the All Blacks were caught doing such a thing.

Condone it not, you've got to admit it all looks pretty suspect, well Dane Coles thought so and I'd take his version of it over any on here

Jogging to the breakdown, getting talked to by 2 trainers and then limping off with a trainer as a crutch - yeah naaa

Dean Richards got a three year ban for the Bloodgate debacle. I think its only fair Rennie gets something similar.

What makes it most dodgy is that the limp doesn't match the stated back injury. He limped like he had a foot or leg injury, but he didn't limp at all just after the line-out.

Edit: personally, I would have preferred the footage to start earlier. Did the prop show any sign of injury before the line-out?

I dont know about you guys, but when I get a back twinge usually related to sciatica.. I limp.. but can also lightly jog. I also stand incredibly upright when standing still.. alot like the prop did. He didnt lift in a line out, run with the ball, tackle anyone, hit a ruck or push in a scrum.

Unless any of you lot are doctors who specialise in back injuries .. you are just making assumptions and accusations based on fuck all.

If you have a back twinge that is hampering you./.. you know what you REALLY don't want to do? Push in a professional rugby games scrum. You know what else is quite common... when you know you are going off.. you give up the charade of not being hurt. You stop trying to play through it, you stop trying to hide the limp and you just do whatever is most comfortable.

That video is all casserole and no sausage.

Yep, words of wisdom. It's settled. Nothing to see here. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest the Chiefs got caught partaking in a bit of gamesmanship.

Adrenaline doesn't cause you to limp. Quite the contrary. Usually, adrenaline stops/postpones the pain signal from reaching the brain, where it's translated into a pain experience.

It is just an accusation with incredibly shaky evidence at this stage. What part of what I said do you think is untrue? or irrelevant?

Yes, multiple times. Not that I see the relevance of that question. This was not about whether back injuries (of whatever kind) can cause pain. It was about adrenaline.

Think you are looking at it form the wrong way I meant it...

adrenaline masked the symptom (back pain, limp, whatever) and once he stopped, he could feel it, the trainer came over, he said bro, it hurts, but I can probably keep going, trainer says, nah bro, we are getting monstered, is better if you actually come off!

You don't see the relevance of Sciatica to a player coming off the field for back pain?

Well the Chiefs have used that get out of jail card relatively early in the season. Still have Moody, Franks and the lads to face. Don't think you could do Golden Oldies twice in 1 season without raising eyebrows.
