Which side of the draw are we on? Winner of GB/USA?

    Correct.

We have a good chance to get to final. At least as far as we wouldn't face Fiji until then.

No excuses then, unlike Rio when it was Fiji in the QF.

Silver medal will be a success.
    Anything less is a failure.

In saying that we do do pretty well with a squad of players that are barely provincial level.

@snowy well the reason we drew Fiji in the quarters is we lost 2 pool games.... basically like Aussie this time.

I'd be delighted with a silver for the men, and yes in 15s they are provincial level.

They still go O.K in international sevens as specialists. Sure we have a few ring ins every now and and again and we don't win everything (like we mostly did for the best part of 2 decades) but I'll cut them some slack.

We all know pressure knockout tournaments require experience. We have that, if not out right talent and speed. I don't think that we will win it but we might sneak through a few close knock outs hopefully. Like beating the Aussies today. Thankyou Mr Knewstubb, who I think should be spending more time on the field anyway.

If anyone is wondering it was a sideline drop goal conversion that made the difference, aside from his on field play. Also good.

Ireland currently up 10-0 over ROK

I assume this is 9 v 12 based on the table above.

Korea lack subtlety - they're probably used to dominating other Asian nations but they can't really blow through anyone in this comp.

Japan up 7-0 after their skipper breaks a fairly piss-poor tackle.

Jeez Japan absolutely fluff it on defence to let Kenya level it up.

Failed to regather the restart, Kenya under the posts again.

    AND another knock on.

Kenya 14-7 as the siren goes. Kenyan scrum midfield. Japan turn it over but they fuck it yet again.
