Haha I actually won a Super Rugby comp a few years ago. Had lunch with James Marshall, Jack Lam and Ardie when he was new to the side. All good chaps. :good1:

Strong side: Harsh on Laumape and Abbott to miss the squad all together. Shows the depth Boyd and Plumtree have grown though when you consider Nonu, Smith, Thrush and Franks left last year and Nehe/Broadhurst are injured.
 
I hope the Chiefs carry on their hoodoo at the ground. They've lost 9 out of the last 10 games at Westpac. Keep it up please.

I think Abbott left the field injured last week, not too long after he'd come off the bench. He only played 13 minutes.

Good to see that Andrew Horrell is back from injury and in the 23. It has been a long wait for him. I hope he'll get some decent game time.
Even better is that all 4 other Magpies at the Chiefs are starting!
 
Just wondering: TKB has been named on the bench and Weber has been starting in - I think - all but one games since TKB's return from injury. Is this a sign than Weber is overtaking TKB in the half back rankings? Should TKB be concerned about his AB spot?

Seeing as Latimer would regularly get starts ahead of Cane, I'm not sure why you'd think it'd have any impact on the ABs. It's not like TKB has had a bad season, he just picked up a concussion and Weber's been playing well.
 
Anyway, the fuck's Marshall doing starting? Dude can't throw lineouts for shit and isn't that the reason he dropped De Malmanche back in 2011/12? And he offered a hell of a lot more in scrums and around the field than Marshall.
 
Otherwise, that's a good 23. Looking forward to this game.
