All Blacks MOTM v Tonga

@stockcar86 Speaking of which, Dagg is terrible behind the camera. Sky really need to find some better ex-players if they want to use them in that role.

@bones He didn't play well today, did he? But I did give him a vote because of the vitriol he churned up here today. Brilliant!
I hope you voted for Akira then who ran nearly as many metres as a winger but had apparently a low workrate until near the end..

Played like a guy returning to rugby after a couple of years out. Warmed up a bit in the second half, but that first half was everything you don't wanna see from an AB winger.
If Clarke or Ioane played the same game I'm sure SG and stag would agree.
He's a bit Collins isn't he?
-
@nostrildamus I did but I genuinely thought he imposed himself physically and had a big influence on the game both defensively and on attack.
-
@old-samurai-jack yes I'm not saying he was the best on the park but I thought he did well at key times.
I thought one of the AB locks was a bit quiet but I may have missed him in the tight (as far as that went)... -

@stag On the Fern they love to hate Bridge. The Fern is like that group of boys at high school that pick one kid they like to bully. I think it all started when the ABs coaches gave the starts on the left wing to Bridge instead of Rieko in 2019, which angered some Rieko fans here, despite Bridge having a good season and Rieko playing below his usual level. Bridge playing for the most hated franchise doesn't help him, either. The Fern's pack mentality is a little pathetic, but it is what it is.
Have you watched the game yet?
I was completely neutral on Bridge, but in this game... he was noticably tripe, in a flat-track bully game.
That said - I gave him me one and only vote in this poll, as he was the one interesting factor in it. For the above reasons.Edit: and the claim that it's only Reiko fan-bois who are leading this alleged "crusade" against Bridge is laughable. I think Reiko is a tool. But I really would have like to have seen Reiko & Bridge swap positions after Bridge's 3rd or 4th pathetic attempt at finishing a left-winger's job, just to see some tries being scored on that side of the park. Sorry... that "edge" of the park.

Here you go then. Reiko was shit at his job and deserved to be dropped. Bridge came in, scored some run ins and that's all I've seen him do, ever. He's a good player but he's not got the full toolbox.
That's not based on others comments. That's all me baby.

I’m the furthest thing from a Reiko fanboy as you can find. I think he’s a farking tool and not a centre’s arsehole. But even I’d take him over Bridge any day of the week. Bridge is a poor man’s Corey Jane.

@nepia He does nothing on the pitch that is anything different, but he posts some dumb, but very normal for young guys, hip hop stuff on instagram?
Doesn't explain why NZ journos go out of their way to say that he is a limited player who doesn't create opportunities, when he had the most try assists of any NZ centre in Super Rugby ...

Why is Rieko a tool to so many of you? I don't find him any different to most players, and the couple of mates of mine who have met him say he's a good bloke.
I suspect that maybe one of the Ioanes told TJ or Marshall or another journalist to get fucked one day, and they've had a huge grudge ever since?

And drops the ball over the line. But he’s a Blues player so he gets a pass right?
-
@rancid-schnitzel He did that once (and I think actually scored on the replay). If that's all you've got on a quality player then drop every player who has made an unforced error - but that's the entire team.

@rancid-schnitzel you don't swallow the worm after drinking the whole bottle of tequila mate. It makes you do and say some stupid shit.

It was an unnecessary and ridiculous error. Hence why people think he’s a tool. I’m a Canes fan and happy admit Dane Coles is a prize piston wristed gibbon. But he at least doesn’t drop the ball because he’s trying to be cool when scoring a try. Probably has a better pass too.

@nepia That's one for the books, oh yeah.
Maybe he prefers the lunch-pail, hard work day in and day out players with coachability, rather than the hip-hop style show boating flair players we hear so much about.
Almost thought I'd heard a caller to Mike Francesa's WFAN NYC broadcast there.
No just players who aren’t tools. If Reiko wasn’t a Blues player you’d hate his guts.
