    watched the highlights

watching Paul Gallen get repeatedly punched in the head was quit delicious. Should have been stopped earlier, i reckon he was out of it when he tackled Huni

I didn't see much from Huni that made me think he's got a big future, but that may have been the calibre of the opposition

Gallen is a legit tough fluffybunny, i'll give him that, and promotes his fights well by talking shit. But should learn his level for his own good.

A legend in one sport and gave another a bloody good go. You’d think that would be enough.

What other sport did Wally Lewis try?

Not sure but he looked like someone’s Dad with the bald head and mo even when he was aged in his early 30s.

Mid 20s I’d say. I wonder what he’d look like these days. Probably completely shaven head but with a beard.

isn't he on the news all the time doing the sport? he looks exactly teh same

I meant when he was playing.

    gotcha

So after dispatching Gallen in a pointless bout, Huni has aggravated injuries to both hands and now won't be going to the Olympics.

@antipodean still probably worth it. 300k in the bank. Profile bigger in Aus now so,can probably run a ppv himself now.

gold medal opens more doors world wide. but 300k is 300k

I'd say Huni has been offered money elsewhere. Probably the UK. Could go as high as a Dillian Whyte or Joseph Parker type fight.

@jk Gee he must be rusty if he had to go life and death with a guy who gets brought in to lose all his fights.

He might need a few fights at that level before looking at stepping up.

Yes I did. I paid particular attention to when he got knocked down by a tomato can with a 2-14 record.

With a name like Waikato, I'm not surprised this guy loses so much.

Just caught Chasing Tyson on Neon, essentially about Evander Holyfield and the build up to his two fights against Iron Mike.

Bloody interesting and telling how a legend like Holyfield is still to this day defined by his two fights against the big bully of his era and how he was seen as a “safe” “nice” and “boring” champion. Holyfield was one hell of a fucken competitor though, holy shit.

Other highlights were when that guy parachuted into the stadium during the Bowe fight, seeing him beat Larry Holmes and from a kiwi perspective seeing photos of when he lost by disqualification to Kevin Barry ( who hilariously wasn’t even mentioned by name ).

Awesome doco, interested in @raznomore views on it.

@mn5 it's good to see the other side of the story. I enjoyed that doco.

Barry wasn't mentioned because he doesn't feature in the annals of boxers. Shit he barely features as a trainer.

I remember the paraglider. I was pissed.

Haha, it was a tongue in cheek comment, Apparently Evander was winning quite comfortably.

Tyson has mellowed with age considerably as we all know. What a fascinating character.

I saw the Barry-Holyfield fight at the time, it was a bit embarrassing.

"I am just like many people here, I am an avid boxing fan and I enjoy doing it. **Not like footy I can cater it around my family and school drop off**.

"It felt good (coming back), until I got a couple of those bombs. That is the sport of boxing, you don't play boxing that is for sure. I am just doing my due diligence to respect the sport.

So he can respect any sport that fits in with school dropoffs? Weekend lawn bowls is calling.
